We are contemplating canceling due to covid as well, travel restrictions are starting to return for Canadians heading to the USA. Still thinking about it, don’t know what we should do.Is anyone else considering bailing because of the uptick in Covid ? Tough call but its scary out there
Ouch. Hadn't thought about possible travel restrictions. We are contemplating canceling due to covid as well, travel restrictions are starting to return for Canadians heading to the USA. Still thinking about it, don’t know what we should do.
Same. My concern is testing positive and not being able to get on a plane back to Canada. I have a couple of backup plans but I'm wondering now if it's even worth it. I keep changing my mind.We are contemplating canceling due to covid as well, travel restrictions are starting to return for Canadians heading to the USA. Yeah I think this is basically where I’m at. I’ll be heading out to visit immediate family on Christmas Eve, but I might pass on the plans the following day to visit the extended fam. A few people I know likely caught it (two confirmed, one test pending) and are experiencing some symptoms, nothing crazy, but the sort of thing that would keep me off the plane if it lingers. After completing my 18-mile run yesterday (~2.5 hours), there is no way I'm canceling. However, I have changed some holiday plans to mitigate risk (i.e., only gathering with immediate family vs. extended family) so I don't get sick with COVID before Marathon Weekend and am not able to fly. Additionally, we'll be more careful while we're on the trip. Like someone else mentioned, I'm not sure what that is, but we'll know when we're there.
I am hopeful (maybe naively) that things may be better than they are now in two weeks.
