Sorry in advance for repeat info. I know this is on here and just can't find at the moment.

If I take a resort reservation I have and cancel it and stay off property instead will I lose my dining and fastpass+ selections made at 180+10 and 60 +10 days out?

Have annual passes, not that that matters. So if they did cancel out the fp+ I could remake at 30?

Also, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't lose my dining but just wanted to be sure. I made these at 180+10 so I didn't know if they would cancel out now because I made some of them before I would have technically been able to if we had decided originally to stay offsite.

Thanks for any info.

I know for sure they nothing will happen to your dining ADRs - you needed the resort reservation at the time to use the +10 part of your 180+10 booking window, but ADRs are otherwise not linked to your resort reservation.

I haven't yet traveled under FP+, so I can't help there. My *guess* is that those FP times should remain as well, but even if that's the policy, people have reported troubles with FPs disappearing from their MDE, so be prepared for possible glitches even if your FPs are supposed to be preserved.

I know for sure you dining reservations will get canceled....happened to me when we had a similar situation.

I'm sorry that happened to you! I know that is not the policy (per multiple dining res CMs and a lot of info from DISboard) and my personal experiences (multiple times)

OP, you should have all your confirmation numbers now from making the ADRs - make separate note of those numbers somewhere. If you cancel your resort reservation & notice anything missing on your MDE, definitely call to straighten it out. With lots of web site/MDE problems people have reported I'm not surprised they might have temporarily disappeared from people's pages, but it is NOT intended to work that way - you are permitted to change resorts or move off site, etc without losing a dining res.

You wont lose your dining ADRs... but I'm fairly certain your FP+s will be gone.

If you cancel within 30 days of arrival your FP+ selections will remain intact because your offsite FP+ window will be open.

They shouldn't have been. Your dining reservations aren't tied to your resort reservation.

Except you don't get a full refund at 30 days? :confused3 You have cancellation fees and stuff if you cancel your trip 45 days or less. It's in the *fine print*

I book disney hotels on cheaptickets.com and link to MDE. I can cancel the room up to 5 days in advance with NO fee at all.

The 45 day thing is for packages I believe. Not for rooms.

That is correct. Room only is 5 days. Packages are 45.
