Cancelation Blues

I’ve made the decision today to cancel our Sept trip at the Poly. The remaining deposit is due on our rented DVC points Tuesday. We will take a $700 loss, which does suck. I’ve been living vicariously through friends, Instagramers, the dis, etc who have been and had great trips with the low waits. I believe you could go and have a safe time and want to go so badly, however I can’t make the decision with good faith for my own personal health. I have a compromised immune system and am on immunosuppressants. I love Disney and long to be there with my family, so I’m so sad even though I feel confident in my decision. The higher wait times and reports I’ve read pushed me to make the decision today. I think I’m even sadder to not know when we will go back. We’ve blessed to get to go on many trips and had the best trip last year, so I shouldn’t be so sad - I know fellow Disney lovers can understand.

I finally cancelled our trip for June 2021 on Friday. Disney may be back to normal but I don’t think it will or at a minimum, I’d like to give it more time to work out not wearing a mask with fireworks and parades.
Made me sad but I’d rather wait till 2022.
