Hello neighbor!
I guess I need to get going on wrapping things up!
I promise to work on this a bit later today...I'm totally spinning myself in all directions!
Long story short - a year ago, Grumpy and I bought a small ranch house with a semi-finished basement. No attic. We had previously been in an apartment for 10 years. At the moment, we STILL have not finished unpacking our stuff (we have a maze of boxes in the basement
). I seem to have some sort of disorder - I am totally OCD about planning trips, organizing things down to the last detail. Give me a spreadsheet and I'm a very happy girl! When it comes to my stuff...well, not so much.
I literally look at a pile of stuff and have no idea what to do with any of it or where to even begin. So, my kitchens, bathrooms, floors are "clean" (vacuumed, wiped, etc) but messy. The thing is, DMiL is coming to stay here when we leave to watch my DS6
! I'm literally having heart palpitations now trying to figure out how to break this down and be ready for her stay. Okay, breathe!
To make matters worse, this week is CRAZY! Yesterday, DS6 got his senior yellow belt in karate, yesterday afternoon we had a confirmation/birthday party, Tuesday is CCD, Wednesday karate and a Cub Scout meeting, Thursday is Halloween Bingo at the school, Friday is the school Halloween parade, followed by karate and the Cub Scout Halloween Party, Saturday karate, and Sunday is Halloween!
Hoo boy! To make matters worse, DS6, whom I refer to affectionately as "the human tornado", is on fall break next week, certain to wreak havoc on my cleaning/packing plans.
On the bright side, we're leaving NEXT WEEK! If the house isn't perfect, oh well....right?
