Canadians Ordering Groceries

Has anybody ordered groceries on-line for their trip? We go to DLR in November and we want to order groceries from either VON's or Albertsons. When they ask for billing address for CC, did you just give the address to the hotel? Did you still get groceries? Please let me know what you did.

I ordered from gardengrocer.com with no problem yesterday.

We also ordered from GG with no problems, they call your room to see if you are in, we just happened to be there. The guy who delivered was great!

Thanks guys, but umm..I'm going to be in California and Garden Grocer is in Florida. I do appreciate your replies and if we ever get to WDW then I will use garden grocers. Thanks again!

You can order beer and wine from Garden Grocer even though they don't have it on their site. When placing an order you can request beer and wine in the comments section and they'll get back to you or you can call them. They will ask you to send a copy of your Driver's License though. Another option for obtaining reasonably priced beer and wine is to take a bus to DTD and walk across the street to the Hess Gas station.

I am assuming you won't be renting a car? We have never got groceries at DL. There are so many cheap places to eat within walking distance offsite and corner stores you don't need them like at WDW. We usually get a rental when going to DL. That way you can drive to wal-mart or target for stuff and drive down the coast to San Diego! ...very pretty

No. We will not be renting a car. Last year when we went we stayed at 4 different hotels in 5 nights. (Long story) This year DH just wants to stay at the hotel and lounge around the pool when not at DLR. I just might put the hotel address in the line for billing address and notify the CC company of what is happening. Will see what happens. If all else fails, we can taxi it to Von's and then I can use Hubby's discount!
