Canadian quarters in the pressed penny machines?

Anyone know if you can use them? I went to the bank and they don't have rolls of Americn quarters so I got two rolls of Canadian ones hoping they would work. The lady at the bank wasn't sure but she said the American quarters have differnet ridges on the side so the machines might not take them.

It seems to me (waaay back, I worked at a resort where we had a double till US and CDN) that US quarters are slightly thinner than Canadian ones. This means there is a risk that the Canadian quarter might jam the machine. Definitely check to see if there is any sort of note on the machines to see if they specify US quarters. Maybe if they won't work you might be able to exchange them somewhere? Otherwise just have to save all your quarters from your change when you are down there.
I hope it works out for you. I don't know your dates...can you post about whether it worked when you return? It would be great not to have to worry about getting US quarters for our next trip.

My dates are April 17th-27th. I'll let you know if they work. I bought my kids those M&M tubes for their Easter baskets and I was going to fill them quarters and pennies after they eat the chocoltae so they will be ready for the penny machines.

Just got back from WDW and pressed pennies were a huge focus for us. LOVED THEM!!! Most machines had signs with "US coins only", although we used Canadian pennies as a few on these boards suggested they come out better. I didn't want to risk jamming a machine with a Canadian quarter and looking like a dopey canuck. Prior to leaving for our trip I was all in a dither about not being able to get US quarters, but I found that most carts in MK were really good about giving change. Also, there were several spots where change machines were adjacent to pressed penny machines.--Disney has it all figured out. Pressed pennies are so much fun!
