Ive noticed amazing deals for WDW, US, IOA etc for US Military members, just wondering if anyone knows if they offer discounts or specials for Canadian military members ??

A co-worker is an member of the reserves. A couple years ago he was at WDW, he had bought his park passes in Canada prior to going. I don't recall how the conversation got started but, he was told by a CM that he was they did recognize Canadian Military for discounts. I would say call Disney to find out the present practise.

Seaworld offers a day pass free for military member and 3 dependents :goodvibes . I emailed them in July and they said they include Canadian Military :thumbsup2 . They require military id for dependents over 12 years of age.

So Ive heard back from seaworld all is good except they told us dependants need a military id. I wasn't aware family members could get such thing ? any advice ?

When I emailed them, they said dependants over the age of 12 needed military id. In Canada, dependants don't get (military) id until they are 16.

We were going to call the MFRC in Halifax and see if there was anyway we could get id for our kids, even though they are not 16 yet. Our trip is tenatively planned for the summer but if you find out anything (before I get around to calling) please post!! :goodvibes

It is very nice to read that Disney World does offer a discount for US and CDN military and their families. It is because of them that we have the freedom to travel to Disney World and other places throughout the world.

Thank you for what you do.

I called Shades of Green back in 2007 for rooms, as DH and DD are both military and they do not recognize the Canadian military for their discounts. This is really to bad it would be nice if they offered something special for the Canadian military. As well, just a side note we stayed at the Holiday Inn Buffalo airport, they do not honor the Canadian military or gov't rate either. DH and I were very disappointed and won't staying Holiday Inn anywhere.

It is sad, But im very glad that Seaworld has stepped up to the plate. Now if I can get this ID thing figured out we will be all good LOL

Off to call the MFRC.

Ok So MFRC (Wainwright) passed me along to the base commisionaire since they deal with ID's, he then passed me onto the gym regarding a Recreation pass, as thats the only ID he knew of for families.
Actual military ID's are only given to active members or civilians who work on base.

Hope that helps, Im going to email Seaworld to make sure that will be sufficient.

In Halifax, we have Dependants id cards. They are good for 10 years (at least mine is). I would need that to get into the dockyard - for picking up my hubby and such:) . Please let me know what Sea World says. Good luck!!:cheer2:
