The cast:
ME- 20ish mom of 3, waiting 20 years to go to WDW and finally the moment is here!
DH- dedicated family man, just as excited as me but doesn't show it on the outside
DS 7- quiet, shy, and overall sweet boy
DS 5- loud, not shy and superdramatic. Could give Meryll Streep a run for her money.
DS 1- high-needs baby, is stuck like glue to DH
GRANDMA-says she is going to keep us company, not at all excited about WDW (you will see a 100% change as my reports go on)
Ok, when I told everyone that we are going to drive 24 hours in the car with 3 boys, they thought I lost my mind. But at 7 pm we left from Toronto to WDW. When we got to the US border, the guy was super rude to us when he asked us for our documents and such. But I didn't care. We were going to WDW and nothing was going to put me in a bad mood. When he asked "Where are you going?" We said "Florida" and he asked (rudely) "What's in Florida?" What!!! What's in Florida? What ELSE is in Florida I wanted to ask him but I just replied "Disney" ever so sweetly.
He let us through and we all sighed realizing we had driven 2 hours, with 20 more to go.
I have to tell you that the drive with the kids was not nearly as bad as I thought. Driving throught the night helped so much, as all three kids slept for a big chunk of time.
We played games, sang songs, and I gave them "surprise treats" along the way and this is how we passed the time.
At last we checked in our off site hotel and went to bed with Disney dreams, realizing we are now in Orlando and so close to meeting the Mouse.
