I've loved Tim Horton's coffee for years but usually only have it when I visit Canada. I live in Syracuse and the closest Tim Horton's stateside is almost an hour away... not very practical.

BUT... last week I was at Wegman's (grocery store chain here) and (insert choir of angels) they're selling cans of TH coffee!!!!!

Ahhhhh... I am enjoying a mug right now... :surfweb:

While I thought about posting on the CB... I knew the folks on this board could appreciate my joy.

WOOO HOOO we've converted another Starbucks fan over to the Horton's side LOL

We had heard that Timmy's had opened a few dozen shops in the states but when we drove down in May we couldn't find one.

where are you guys hiding them all.

It's just a matter of time before there is a Timmy's in Syracuse. There are sooo many Canadians at the Syracuse airport these days... it would make for enough traffic! :lmao:

Oh, here's hoping they open one here soon (lifting my mug in a toast). The closest is in Geneva, part way between Syracuse and Rochester and a little ways south. Most of the rest are in the Rochester and Buffalo areas. What's odd is that they have them as far south as Kentucky and West Virginia, but not in Syracuse??? I would think between the traffic that comes down to the airport and the visitors to Carousel Mall that there'd be one! There doesn't even seem to be any around Watertown, Alex Bay, etc. :confused3

My DH (who is off from work this week) made the coffee this morning. He chose Timmy's over the stuff he usually uses! I think I've brought him to the light side of the force. :yoda:

We have a lot of American family and friends and I've treated most of them to a can of Timmys when we've visited and now they're hooked as well. One was enterprizing enough to find that you can order Timmys online and have it delivered. Slowly but surely we're taking over the world, one coffee drinker at a time. It's all part of the grand scheme. :surfweb:

oh swear if i had the money i'd open on on the route from buffalo - the last one we can stop at is in Niagarf falls - an hour - 2 hours later we're dying for one LOL it would be the perfect place

hummmmm maybe i'd open one just before you get to WDW too hehehe

I know there are several in the Buffalo area. I believe they go as far south as Ohio, maybe Kentucky now.

I know this might be blasphemy on the Cdn boards - but Tim's coffee fans might want to try Dunkin Donuts coffee ...the addictive nature of DD coffee is legendary. I try Tim's when in Canada and find it "okay" (I'm not in the Starbucks camp at all)....but not the really special blend that DD is. And I know part of it is "what you're used to", but consider this....beyond the taste of the coffee...the Tim's lids are inferior - (they don't open properly)...a Dunkin lid pops off like magic to reveal a perfectly sized sip experience!!

Also, at Tim's the XL size isn't big enough, I can never find Splenda at Tims, and the hot chocolate is very thin and watery compared to DD hot chocolate - so no reason to believe that the coffee would be any better if they skimp on the other stuff. Try DD coffee when in the east....you'll like it!

We have DD here as well but for me they just don't cut it. Sorry, I'm a die-hard Timmys fan. When I'm in the southern states I opt for JJMuggs. Starbucks tastes too strong and burned for me.
