So I put your latest posts into word and guess how many pages they filled?
Go on, guess…
137 pages! No wonder I have no time to finish my report!
Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
No I have Charlie Sheen saying, “Winner, winner, chicken dinner. I don’t think so. Winner, winner, SHEEN dinner” playing over and over again in my head. Thanks.
I drank that whole milkshake, too.
This does not surprise me. I mean because you’re such a connoisseur, not a glutton! Don’t take away any points!
After my ADR and a truly wonderful DISmeet ended,
I watched as my old, yet new friends walked off into the rain.
This reminds me of the ending of Casablanca.
But... since they were gone and I was all by myself again.....
Time to put the pedal to the metal and scoot over to my first ride of the night.
(No time for sashaying... or more accurately, considering the downpour, squishing along.)
I don’t know. Scooting doesn’t sound much faster than sashaying. Can’t you just walk quickly?
I was running late for my FP+ so I didn't stop for photos at that time
and just skedaddled over to the FP+ line.
(I am an expert sashayer, but I excel at skedaddling as well.)
So we’re skedaddling and scooting?
At the time, I believe Memory Maker if purchased in advance was $150.
That's a lot of moola for some pictures.
At least I thought so.
I think so too, but if my brother wants to buy it again I’ll pose for some pictures this year.
But you can buy them a la carte too.
I regret not buying the Ohana breakfast photo. I looked pretty good in that one. What? We’re supposed to care how our kids look in the photos?
This time, I was so busy getting ready for my close up, Mr. DeMille, that I forgot to be nervous!
(bonus points to anyone who can tell me what that has to do with RNRC)
Darn it! I know this was answered already but I knew this one! I’m an old movie buff, or at least I was when I had time for them.
Did you know there's an entire night lit city in there?
It reminds me of the best part of Peter Pan, when you're flying over London.
I will have to take notice this year.
When the ride ended, I took a quick peak at the ride photos to make sure I'd got, got.
Got, got? Is that a Canadian expression?
(ooh, some of you are counting your points right about now, aren't you!)
Yes, we are!
You crazy Canadians need to learn how to spell.
I decidedly don't love the drop.
I tolerate it so I can see all of the rest of it.
But tolerate is the right word.
I'd probably be happier if there was a chicken exit right before you drop.
I think there is one. I love the drop but I hate the moments before the drop, while you’re waiting for it but you don’t when it will happen.
But then I want to get back on at the end so I can see the props at the bottom.
I’ll have to take note of those too.
We bounced up and down for a year or so and finally came to a stop at the bottom.
Which kind of sucked, because I was down here,
but my stomach was up there!
Do you have a photo of you on this one?
And then I had a thought.
I celebrated, because they come so infrequently.
LOL
I should have told her he heard it from Schwartz.
I wonder if Steven Tyler would chose Palmolive or Life Buoy?
I guess I should know this reference since I’m your age, but I don’t.
Now, I myself, have never been a big fan of souvenirs.
Wait. That's not quite right.
I was a big fan when I was little.
I picked up all kinds of junk from our travels when I was a kid.
Later, when I was old enough to move out on my own,
I packed up my stuff and took a good long look at all the junk
I'd collected over the years.
And chucked it.
I had my memories and usually there were photos to help in that department.
And that's all I wanted.
I was the same way as a kid. I always picked the junkiest junk and now I rarely buy anything to bring back.
So I'm not a big "stuff" fan.
Although I am kind of a “stuff” fan. I can do some damage at the mall.
If that makes me shallow, so be it.
Momma always said I came from the shallow end of the gene pool,
so I guess it fits.
I think that makes you the opposite of shallow.
The only problem was that Zero (the ghost dog) was too long.
I knew immediately that I would lose him.
He'd get snagged on something and Poof! gone.
Maybe I'd get lucky and not lose him. But I had my doubts.
I wish Kate Spade would design some Magic Band decorations. Those I would buy.
I was on my way to Star Tours.
Whoo hoo! Points for me!
I just didn't think I'd enjoy it very much if I was yanking away all by myself.
uh.... Wow, did that ever come out wrong!
Ha ha! Family board, Ponzi!

I’m in the lead! I’m in the lead!
And for those of you at the top? You've been warned.
Don't get cocky.
I mean, great job everyone!
I sashayed down in the direction of Star Tours.
Can’t you just walk?
She was alive the last time I'd been here and now she was gone.
So I just thought it was fitting to pay her a little homage.
Who? I can’t figure it out.
But it was here that I had the strangest experience of the trip. .
Is this that experience you were alluding to at the beginning of the report? I was hoping for a celebrity sighting.
He even had an awesome 'stache... like me.
Another villain…er…I mean hero! Don’t deduct any points!
I call it "Tigger after being stung by a bee on the left cheek."
That makes it art.
We drew Tigger when we did this and my daughter was so distraught that hers didn’t look exactly like him.
Not just because it was so good.
(Hello! Pretzel! and double hello! Disney Mickey Head pretzel!)
But because it reminded me of some good not-yet-met friends.
Aw…
I spent the next little while sashaying around a bit,
just enjoying the sights.
The image of this makes me chuckle.
Walt played the piano?
I guess I shouldn't be surprised,
but I do wonder what this was all about.
Was he famous then?
Was this a night job?
I wonder if they were recording music for one of the movies.
I sashayed out and started heading towards the exit.
You haven’t scooted or skedaddled for a while.
He looked annoyed and said. "Yeah? So? Who cares? What time is the park open till?"
You should have popped him one.
I like the glow of Fantasmic! in the background.
And no, I didn't see it.
Seen it already, and while I wouldn't mind seeing it again...
I was quite content to put it off until another time.
I feel the same way. We’ve seen it a couple times but it doesn’t affect me like Wishes or Illuminations.
The alarm woke me at 6:45am.
While that's not particularly early,
it's never really a problem waking up when in Disney.
At least not for me, and I suspect, not for you, either.
Unless of course you're getting up early to leave...
but let's not get ahead of ourselves!
I got myself ready for the day.
And yes.... I whisked open the shower curtain
only to discover that the entire bathroom floor was wet... again!
And yes... I felt shame... again.
This is starting to feel like Groundhog Day.
Hmmm... currently 53F (12C) with a high of 65F (18C).
Great! I don't need a jacket.
Shorts and a T-shirt are all I need.
(Most Canadians are like this: All warmer climate folks are like this: or possibly ).
Crazy Canadians.
That's like giving a kid a popsicle and telling him to wait three days before eating it.
Especially if the popsicle is not in the freezer.
Ahhhh... that first glimpse of the train station.
Second only to that first glimpse of the castle.
YES
Now I know... oh, I know there's been tons of debate over FP+.
Mostly negative.
I do like that you don’t have to hurry to the park at rope drop just to get on Toy Story.
I didn't notice it when I took the picture (I'm not that good)
but I just love some of the reactions here.
The woman holding the child with the green cap. (Replete with Mickey ears.)
Look at her face!
She's totally bonding with her child and making unforgettable memories.
Or how about the couple to the right. In pink jacket and grey sweatshirt?
Arm in arm, just happy to be here together.
Or even the girl up front, center. Waving to everyone on the platform.
You get to people watch after your trip is over!
is the gentleman taking photos/video using a selfish stick.
I like that name for it! I think that’s better than people holding their ipads over their heads though.
Those kids have no idea just how lucky they are.
They seldom do.
I could pause and take it all in.
And my God... it's beautiful.
Some of my favorite times there are just wandering around, not even going on rides.
The above is only a fraction of the line that had already formed.
Interestingly, we rode it a couple times during a soft open last year before they had FP+ and even though the lines were long they moved quickly because there were no FP people going ahead of everyone.
Pooh?????
Didn't see that one coming, didja!
You got me there. At least it wasn’t Small World.
I did, however, think that the "honey walls" were pretty cool.
And full of germs…
So I told them.
"You have to be incredibly rich or stupendously famous to bypass the line."
"Which are you?" They cried.
"Both." I replied... then sashayed on.
That last part might not have exactly... you know... happened.
But it was funny anyway.
Would I ride it again?
You bet!
Will it supplant BTMRR as one of my favourite MK rides?
Agreed…and learn how to spell. Or should I say “speull?”
Another favourite of mine, actually.
Are you not listening?
And then the track that you're rumbling along on.... ends.
And suddenly.... you're flying!
Definitely a classic.
The new queue is... marvelous!
Disney really did an outstanding job with this one.
Looking forward to seeing that.
I did get one (crappy) shot of another magical area.
As you walk down a length of hallway,
Tinkerbell suddenly appears and pops into a wall sconce.
And then, if you're lucky, she showers you with pixie dust.
I hope this pixie dust is just lights and not actual dust.
And as my chariot reached its designated spot
and my usher opened his mouth.
I immediately said,
"Watch your step please. Enjoy the ride." in tandem with my guide...
And waved.
He did a double take and broke out into a grin.
Look at you spreading pixie dust on the CMs.
All right... I've decided to show you.
But for those of you without strong stomachs,
I strongly urge you to look away.
This isn't going to be pretty.
The thing that makes me craziest about this ride is not the incessant song, but the badly finished walls and ceiling. Can’t they refurbish this thing?
You want to know about the lesson?
And some of you don't know about George?
Well, I suppose if you really want to know....
You do?
Well, all right. Since you insist.
The last time I was in Disney was in 2009.
I was with DW, DD12 and DD8.
And for the most part, we had a very nice time.
The girls were old enough to go on all the rides
that they'd missed four years earlier.
One of them being POC.
Now as some of you know, there's an urban legend about POC.
Legend has it that when POC was being built,
a worker named George died during its construction.
Now, it's customary at the beginning
and at the end of the day that a CM has to say
"Goodmorning" and "Goodnight" to George.
Otherwise there will be unexplained shutdowns.
Guests, mocking George, have been known to have issues as well.
I told this story to my DDs.
Why not? It's a fun story.
Adds to the ambiance.
And if it terrified them a little...
Well that's what Fathers do.
I knew we wouldn’t get out of this trip report without a history lesson.
The obligatory Redhead photo.
She actually looks like a woman and not Bruce Jenner. In fact, she looks a bit like Lucy.

Drat! I lost my lead!
Ponzi, did I mention how dapper you look with your moustache?
More points getting opportunities coming up!
And as always, if you notice a mistake, let me know!
You don’t make mistakes! Not ever!
Did Dawn get extra points for sharing a meal with you?
Oh, Lord.
Nirvana.
(Not the band.. or that too, if you're really into them.)
You will have to post a ranking of your top ten Disney snacks.
And dodging water's always fun.
I beg to differ.
Thus bypassing the new queue area.
Germ factory
Pretty sure I've never used the term "lickety split" before.
Why do I think this is not true.
What did I tell you about your spelling?
Again, I put the camera away and just enjoyed myself.
And collected germs.
It's those little touches. Man I love 'em.
Yes. They do it best.
Or put Baby in a corner. (I don’t know why that popped into my head. Maybe your resemblance to a young Patrick Swayze?)
Thanks for the epic!
