Canadian Buffoon's Solo Disney Vacation - Update 07/08! pp99 - Here today gone tomorrow

Oh, I doubt you'll ever be "better". :rolleyes1

I’d argue the point,
But truths just can’t be denied.

Yeah, I really don't mind going to the recitals, etc.
I love seeing them grow from performance to performance.

::yes:: we’re still doing the same.
And now it’s a serious drive just to see anything when he’s off to school.

Heck we’re even considering heading all the way to Indianapolis just to see one performance.
Of course there would be other things to experience as well, but still…

I suspect Kay will go the opposite route.
I wouldn't be surprised if she drops guitar and continues on with the reeds.
She just asked to add the E flat clarinet to her B flat clarinet and alto sax.
So she can try it over the summer.
More money.
And I'll probably say okay.

Sounds like she’s pretty serious about the horns.
And yep… It’s hard not to say okay ain’t it.

Just curious: which Eb horn, the soprano or the alto?
Obviously both come at a cost, but the larger one would be a bit more so.

 Give him a pacifier instead.
Paint it like Captain America's shield.

Brilliant!!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl:

He actually willingly parted with those... But they were almost 8 years old.. And had holes in places too convenient to have holes.. It may also have been that they were so holey and loose fitting that he was getting chaffed doing all his walking he does for work.. He finally upgraded and tossed them!

This week on learning things you really didn't want to know!

:lmao:

You two cannot even say you have never owned underwear that had holes in just the wrong or right places. I've listened to many a dude discussion between DF and our male friends on underwear holes, direction of wiping, and many other deeply more horrifying things to not think he majority of the male population has, done, and talks about said things to other males.

I’d argue the point,
But truths just can’t be denied.

Yep.
What I need is a smug yes smiley.
A combination of ::yes:: and :snooty:

I should just make one. But I'm at work now so... later.

Sure. I drove Elle (DD17 at the time) and another member of her team over 1,400 miles
(one way) for a competition last year.

Oh, geez. I had no idea there was more than one. I have no idea. I'll have to find out.

Brilliant!!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl:

I have my moments.
They're extremely few and very far between...
but if you look closely enough, you can find them.

Nope. It's just your DF.
I've never, ever talked about those things.
And you haven't either, right @afwdwfan?

:rolleyes1

Honestly... no. I can't recall having ever worn underwear that had holes worn into them. Now ripped until I could get home and change is another story, but I throw worn ones away long before that point.:rotfl:

And no, @pkondz it isn't really something I tend to discuss with anyone. Male or female. :rotfl2:

See?

Knew it.

DF and his friends are just very very special then... But I think if already knew that haha!

I was woefully behind, but have now caught up again. Your dive experience sounded amazing! Lots of fun, and you got to spread a little pixie dust too.

My guesses this time around -- Magic Kingdom, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train and Cinderella's Castle for a meal. How's that for a guess?

Well it's about time you showed up!
What? Were you on a trip or something???

:rolleyes1

::yes:: It really was amazing! I don't know when, but I know I want to do it again!
And that pixie dust spreading was just the icing on the cake!
(And I love cake icing.)

Check. And I'll let you know in a day or two!

Oh, geez. I had no idea there was more than one. I have no idea. I'll have to find out.

There are several in various keys, but don't over worry it.
She is probably talking about the Eb "Alto".
The one in the middle of that image down there.

Those are the five types most used in "western" styes of music.
The Eb soprano (all the way to the right) doesn't show up all that often.

Ooooo I love those pics of the lights on the buildings. Very cool!

Aww you're such a good guy letting those kids in front of you, pkondz. When I was at DCA a group of teenagers let some small kids in front of them. The dad of the kids offered to pay them for giving up the spots and they said no way. I'll never forget that and I'm sure that family won't forget what you did either.

I actually loved your Illuminations pictures and could have gone for a few more...oh well. I'll just google Illuminations.

Going with Animal Kingdom, Everest, and Tusker House!

Whew! Better late than never, at least in most cases. Nice illumination shots. Please no flames but we do not like that show. I know it us very un-dislike, but it is like the Emporer's New Clothes. Someone has to say it. Not sure what it is. It just is. But great pics and so nice of you to let the kids see.

Okay my guesses I will also say AK, KS (you have a FP for EE later) and Y&Y

Hello all.
I came on the DIS tonight and started to reply to the TRs I follow.... I got as far as Courtney's and....

Ran out of steam.

Last night I was at dance recital until nine pm or so.
Up this morning at 5am for work.
Home by 3:15, let the dog out. Feed her.
Go get Kay at school.
Get home. Make dinner for everyone.
Out the door by 5pm for recital.
On my feet running until 10.
Drive to the Honda dealership to get Elle's car dropped off.
(Check engine light is on.)
Home by 11:00.

I actually am having trouble typing this because I can't see straight, I'm so tired.

Repeat Friday coming up. I'll be up at 5am. Dinner at 4pm. Out the door by 5pm.
At recital again til probably late.

So... shout outs tomorrow.
And if I didn't get to your TR tonight, that's why.

<drops mike> <falls into coma>

Oh.My.Gosh. No worries, we'll be here - just get yourself through this week in one piece!:hug:

Drive to the Honda dealership to get Elle's car dropped off.

Home by 11:00.
So why take it to the dealership? The bulb will burn out eventually. Problem solved. :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

I actually am having trouble typing this because I can't see straight, I'm so tired.
THEN GO TO BED!!!!!

<drops mike> <falls into coma>
Like I said... just let the Disdads know if you need the extraction team on standby. :cool2:

:faint: Remind me again why we have kids?

Like I said... just let the Disdads know if you need the extraction team on standby.

They failed me at my school's spring concert!

She is probably talking about the Eb "Alto".

Actually, I asked her about it when I picked her up from school.
Nope. She's interested in the Soprano.
I believe her exact words were "Yuck! Not the Alto! That's gross!"

:sad2:

We're polar opposites.
I've played the clarinet a little tiny bit
(took one or two lessons just to make sure what I was doing was sort of right),
and my preference is for the lower register sounds. She likes the higher tones.

The Eb soprano (all the way to the right) doesn't show up all that often.

I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to rent it so she can try it out.

Ooooo I love those pics of the lights on the buildings. Very cool!

Thanks Courtney!

Aww you're such a good guy letting those kids in front of you, pkondz.

Nah. I'm just interested in self preservation.
I figured if I didn't move they'd bite my ankles.

So really just a big jerk at heart.

When I was at DCA a group of teenagers let some small kids in front of them. The dad of the kids offered to pay them for giving up the spots and they said no way. I'll never forget that and I'm sure that family won't forget what you did either.

:) Love that! Disney just does that to people.
It actually pains me when I see people acting poorly in Disney.

I actually loved your Illuminations pictures and could have gone for a few more...oh well. I'll just google Illuminations.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Check!

Whew! Better late than never, at least in most cases.

I'd prefer to be never for my own funeral, thanks.
Bankruptcy.
Disney trip cancellation.

Shall I go on?

Nice illumination shots.

Thanks Tammie! :)

Please no flames but we do not like that show. I know it us very un-dislike, but it is like the Emporer's New Clothes. Someone has to say it. Not sure what it is. It just is.

Totally not offended. We're allowed to like and dislike movies, but not shows? Just because they're Disney?
Please.

But great pics and so nice of you to let the kids see.

Thanks!
And they were just going to whine and ruin the ambiance anyway right?

:rolleyes1
