Canadian Buffoon's Semi-EPIC Vacation - 10/29 - Link to new TR!

Oh noooooo!
:sad2:
Rotten kid.
Nope, she'll never live that down.
She forgets from time to time.
I remind her.

What did Elle have?

You did feed her?

Right?
The deal was I paid for
airfare, hotel and tickets.
She paid for souvenirs...
and food.
(Although I did pay for
a few meals, because I know
it's a lot for her.)

She brought granola bars

that she had for breakfast.
That is just outrageous.
Incredibly so!
You're such a rule breaker.
Better than a glass breaker. ;)
I've done it before. There's just something about getting mail from Disney World.
Okay...
So no one sends postcards except
Elle, Rebecca, Vanessa and old people.
Much better picture with the CMs.
I think so too! :)
Elle looks like she is enjoying it too.
I've never done this and now I want to even more.
We both were very happy
about our ride. :)

I didn't even know you could!
Those poor unfortunate souls.

I can hear it.
::yes::
Not bad. Was this EMHs?
I believe so, yes.
The guy in back looks like he's poising for you.
I noticed him too.
Man, she's giving you the eye. What did you do to her?
Practically nothing!
I shoved her out of the way
and pushed her to the ground,

but other than that... nothing!
I LOVE the trolley show.
Elle really enjoyed it.
I like it enough, but Elle
loved it. :)
Excellent idea!
::yes::
Yes I did. He looks apprehensive.
Long line.

She forgets from time to time.
I remind her.

It's what all good parents do. Don't forget to mention it at her Wedding Rehearsal Dinner, with pictures and graphics.

She brought granola bars
that she had for breakfast.

As a Mom I'm relieved to know she had something to eat.

Better than a glass breaker. ;)

:thumbsup2

I believe so, yes.

Looks like it helped with keeping the lines shorter. You got a lot done in the first hour.

Practically nothing!
I shoved her out of the way
and pushed her to the ground,

but other than that... nothing!

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Elle really enjoyed it.
I like it enough, but Elle
loved it. :)

Please tell her she's welcome to join us to watch at any time. The girls and I love it. DH not so much.

And Elle cried out and started
saying over and over...
"I want to go home! I want to go home!"

:(

Oh, poor Elle! (And poor you!)

You're such a good dad. :goodvibes

I'd brought something along that
Doc had requested.
It came in a glass container.

They don't allow glass in the park.

Oh, dear! I'm glad they let you bring it through (and I'm curious what it is!).

I'm always curious what parents of smaller babies do about the glass restriction - nearly all baby food jars are glass. I realize the pouches would be a good work-around, but those are tougher to use (and so much bigger!) when your baby is new to solid food. Hopefully that's something I don't ever have to worry about as I don't intend to bring a baby that small to Disney World (and M has been rejecting purees for months, so no issues there!).

Ariana (@Pluto0809) with
Jackie (@missjackiemcg) in tow,
had spotted us in the crowd.

Fun! It's a pre-DISmeet!

Who sends postcards?
Old people and my kid
apparently.

I always have good intentions about sending postcards... my follow-though is not great. Good for Elle!

Once we were inside the park proper,
I asked some CMs to pose by their car.

Honestly, I love the picture MUCH better with the people in it! It makes for a better picture AND a better memory!

Immediately after, one of them
asked. "Want a ride?"

How fun! I've never ridden on one of the Main Street vehicles either - I need to rectify that one of these days! Even better, it looks like you had a private ride down Main Street! (They must've been thrilled about someone taking their picture!)

We walked on with zero wait
and Jackie and Ariana were
in the car just in front of us.

Awesome on both counts!

Oh, COME ON!!!

:rotfl:

What are the odds that your face would be blocked TWICE?! It looks like you had fun on the ride, though.

We had our first official DISmeet
coming up,

Hooray for the first "official" DISmeet after your first two pre-DISmeets!

Love when they do that. :)
Remind me to tell you my F5 story
when we meet up again.

(I'm sure we will at some point. :)

Sounds like a plan! I'll try to remember to bring it up. Counting on my memory is a dicey proposition more and more these days.

WHAT?????????????

I think it's getting a new look, from what reports say.

https://attractionsmagazine.com/tomorrowland-sign-removed-mk/

What if the squirrel has a great mind?

Then we should kill it to study for science!

Wait, that seems counter-productive...

<thinks about that for a second...>

:rotfl:

:rolleyes1

I'll just say this: I have good friends, and I very much appreciated being able to get my ride photos.

The Blue Angels are in Duluth this weekend. I’m not attending this year but I will definitely hear them flying!

I think Space is super rough! I can’t ride anymore, bothers my neck and back!

How fun to “accidentally” meet Ariana and Jackie twice already!

Cool ride on the Disney Main Street vehicle, pays to be nice to CM’s and include them in your picture!

Well, sure. You've only been
around for a couple decades.
When you're around as long as I am...
You see a few things.

And forget all of them.
Oh, gosh. It gets worse?! I barely remember things now. Wait, what was I saying...? :headache:

Well. I'm certainly not going to
make her stay.
I picked her up and hustled back
to the car. (Parking paid for.)
If that's not love, I don't know what is. :goodvibes

In short order, we were at the park
and fighting our way through bag check.
Ugh. Bag check. I got myself a new park bag and absolutely love it - there's at least a million separate pockets and compartments and will keep me OH SO ORGANIZED. It arrived last week and I fell in love... and then remembered it'll take approximately 2-3 hours for it to be searched :sad2: You just can't win. At least every bag check isn't the Epcot bag check. I'm trying to figure out a way to only arrive to Epcot via the IG. Perhaps every time I hop from another park, I'll just get on whatever Epcot resort bus strikes my fancy and simply walk over. I guarantee it'd be quicker every time.

Immediately after, one of them
asked. "Want a ride?"
I'd never taken a Main St. conveyance!
Sure!!
Oh how fun! I've never done this either!

Look at all those people who
were forced to walk (gasp!)
all that way!
Ugh. The common masses :snooty:

Well... I suppose it both spares
you from having to look at me,
and also keeps the camera lens
from cracking.
So... win/win?
:sad2:

And after experiencing what
is arguably the weirdest ride
in MK, we headed for the
front of the park.
Right?! :scratchin

Hey folks!
I’m out of town for the weekend,
and will catch up when I get back.
I hope you're doing something good! I'd wondered why I was only 2 pages behind! :rotfl:

About 2 hours from home now...
Shoutouts when I can. :)

Elle took the opportunity
to mail off some postcards.

She's weird like that.
Who sends postcards?
Old people and my kid
apparently.

IMG_1862_zpstjz4exdj.jpg

I love this! Your Elle seems like a bit of an old soul. :goodvibes I keep meaning to do this, too. Maybe you know what I need for postage to send a postcard back home to Canada? I think it's neat that you can actually mail stuff here!

Immediately after, one of them
asked. "Want a ride?"
I'd never taken a Main St. conveyance!
Sure!!

Cool! I've never done this. It seems like a neat experience!

Elle decided that this is what
she wanted to do for a living.
I asked her why she was getting
an Education degree then?
She wisely replied that this would
be her summer job.

Of course. Silly me.

I like the way she thinks! The trolley show would definitely be a good summer job. Maybe a bit toasty in the summer, but otherwise a whole lot of fun.

It's what all good parents do. Don't forget to mention it at her Wedding Rehearsal Dinner, with pictures and graphics.
Oh, I have a book...
As a Mom I'm relieved to know she had something to eat.
And as a Dad, I'm like...

"meh!"
Looks like it helped with keeping the lines shorter. You got a lot done in the first hour.
That's what rope drop does!
Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Yeah. She had too many.
Please tell her she's welcome to join us to watch at any time. The girls and I love it. DH not so much.
 Okay!

Oh, poor Elle! (And poor you!)
But mostly poor me.
I was out cash.
She only got traumatized.
You're such a good dad. :goodvibes
But a smart dad would've just
shoved her in the car, told her
to play with a road map or something
and gone back to watch the show.

Maybe.
Now that's a darn good question!
I know our bottles were plastic,
but... the baby food jars weren't.

Hmm...
Fun! It's a pre-DISmeet!
::yes::
I always have good intentions about sending postcards... my follow-though is not great. Good for Elle!
It's all in the follow through.
Keep your head down and
swing with your hips.

Or something like that.
Honestly, I love the picture MUCH better with the people in it! It makes for a better picture AND a better memory!
I completely agree! :)
How fun! I've never ridden on one of the Main Street vehicles either - I need to rectify that one of these days! Even better, it looks like you had a private ride down Main Street! (They must've been thrilled about someone taking their picture!)
I've since seen that not many
people have done that.
I thought I was the only DISer

who hadn't!
Awesome on both counts!
Yes! And... Yes! :)
What are the odds that your face would be blocked TWICE?!
:sad2:
It looks like you had fun on the ride, though.
We did! :)
Hooray for the first "official" DISmeet after your first two pre-DISmeets!
More on that, soon!

Sounds like a plan! I'll try to remember to bring it up. Counting on my memory is a dicey proposition more and more these days.
Well then write it down.
You don't expect me to
remember it, do you????
I think it's getting a new look, from what reports say.

https://attractionsmagazine.com/tomorrowland-sign-removed-mk/
Huh.
I hope they don't change it too
much. It's pretty iconic.
Then we should kill it to study for science!

Wait, that seems counter-productive...
No, no. This sounds intriguing.
Do go on...

I'll just say this: I have good friends, and I very much appreciated being able to get my ride photos.
;)

The Blue Angels are in Duluth this weekend. I’m not attending this year but I will definitely hear them flying!
I'd heard that... a bit too late,
as I'd already made other plans
for the weekend.

But maybe some day...
I think Space is super rough! I can’t ride anymore, bothers my neck and back!
It was soooo much rougher
on the FP side.
I was unpleasantly surprised.
How fun to “accidentally” meet Ariana and Jackie twice already!
Yeah! That was a real nice treat! :)
Cool ride on the Disney Main Street vehicle, pays to be nice to CM’s and include them in your picture!
I don't know if they did it
because I took their picture...
But they certainly wouldn't
have asked if I'd just taken a

quick snap and moved on.

Oh, gosh. It gets worse?! I barely remember things now. Wait, what was I saying...? :headache:
When?
If that's not love, I don't know what is. :goodvibes
I should've just shoved some
ear plugs in her ears and told
her to pipe down.

Then I could show love and

see the airshow!
Ugh. Bag check. I got myself a new park bag and absolutely love it - there's at least a million separate pockets and compartments and will keep me OH SO ORGANIZED. It arrived last week and I fell in love... and then remembered it'll take approximately 2-3 hours for it to be searched :sad2: You just can't win
Ahhhh… yes.
My camera bag has...
3-4 zippered compartments.
I've learned to just go through
them one by one.

Seems to work.
I have considered that...
And I have done that!

Oh how fun! I've never done this either!
Seems that not a lot
of people have either. :)

Ugh. The common masses :snooty:
I did bestow a regal
nod upon them.

They rejoiced.
I feigned indifference.

::yes::
I hope you're doing something good! I'd wondered why I was only 2 pages behind! :rotfl:
Hmmm...
It was good... and surprising...
and frightening... and interesting...

and scary... and ultimately wonderful.[/QUOTE]
