Even though I've been gone a while, I come back and I'm still behind. Think you should give me points for daring to come back to these dreaded TR's.

Oh. I mean, treasured TR's. Long day at work. My fingers are on auto type mode.

Anyways, no chapter yet, so I'm guessing Lady H and I still have time to reply to these.

1. What time is my flight out of Winnipeg?
Hint: I connect in Toronto and plan to (hopefully)
hit a park the same day.

T_Man: You always leave early, so 6:00 AM
Lady H: 0 dark 30.

2. Two flights. Winnipeg/Toronto, Toronto/MCO.
On time? Delayed? One of each?

T_Man: Both on time. You may be late, but the flights are on time.
Lady H: One of each.

3. I'll be clearing customs in Toronto. This is always fun.... 50/50. Does my passport get stamped?
Bonus points if you know the expression on my face.

T_Man: Yes on the stamp. Smug smile on face.
Lady H: Yes on the stamp. McCaully Culkin scream face from Home Alone.

4. When I finally arrive at the resort...
Where is it? (Yes it's on property.)
Hint: I'm squeezing pennies, remember?

T_Man: All Star Movies
Lady H: Caribbean Beach

5. So I get there. I go to a park. Which one?

T_Man: Magic Kingdom
Lady H: Epcot

6. I don't know if I'll do a transportation game or not.
But just in case... how long do I wait for transportation
to and from the park.

T_Man: 5 minutes.
Lady H: 2 minutes.

I plodded out to the cab
and plunked myself in the backseat.
The cabbie reversed the car out of the
driveway and into the street.
"Where are you going!?!?!" I cried out.
Thankfully I wasn't completely asleep.
The driver stopped, and pulled back
into the driveway.

Hysterical. I pictured it. Totally fulfilling.

You know damn well long johns never looked anything like this in our day. Geez.

I caught up on all the nebo trip reports and got to say I enjoyed reading them.

That said I am quite jealous of you solo trip. I think that would be a blast to go do what I want when I want and not have to wait on anyone.

Honest answer:
There are good and bad aspects to it.

There were many, many times when I wished I had
someone to turn to and say "Did you see that?"
or "Wasn't that fun?" or whatever.
I missed Ruby (or a DD or friend...) a lot then.

On the other hand.
Yeah. You do what you want, when you want.

On my previous solo trip,
I burned the candle at both ends.
Rope drop to park close.

No way Ruby would do that.

I think I would end up riding Haunted Mansion over and over because it is my favorite and the one ride dd is still scared of.

We're twins!
I don't know off the top of my head
how many times I rode HM,
but it was more than any other ride.

So... to the TR, twin!

I don't remember how long I had to wait.
I think... think I remember we got our bags
and I changed there at the airport.

But it's been too long and I'm not sure.

My guesses:
Flight leaves at 5:15 am.
Winnipeg flight is delayed. Toronto is on time.
Leading to your passport being stamped and you are annoyed as you rush to your connection.
You are staying at All Star Movies
Bus wait is 15 minutes.

And yet I'm still thirsty.

Furthest afield was probably A+'s brother's place up in Muskoka for a weekend (our shakedown trip). Two weekend trips to our favorite state park near Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks; beautiful park and waterfront sites, but "dry" camping only. Spent two weeks at Charleston Lake PP near here; great getaway as it is in a dead zone with no cell, TV, or other reception. Only one radio station gets through. Unfortunately was also the two weeks of the Olympics, so I missed all that fun.

Sounds great.
Olympics were good too, though. Lots of fun watching them.
But I think I'd take the camping over the TV.

Okay, okay, it was me. Guess that probably doesn't win me any bonus points...

Maybe I should start you off in the contest with a deficit.

Well hello there! So apparently I've been gone a while.....

Geese... so there was a bit of a snowball of things. First, my Photobucket account filled up and I had no way to upload and edit the pictures. Then germs and bugs got passed around the house. Then once everyone was better I ended up spraining my ankle while stubbornly pushing forward with plans for Little Miss's bday (frozen themed), then the sprained ankle decided that Achilles Tendonitis wanted to join the party. Enter this thing:

Thankfully I am now weaning out of it and working with a Physical Therapist. (After a full summer in that thing it started developing a level of funk that could rival teenage boys! LOL). Then it was time to get plans for our school year going and kick off our first year of Homeschooling (Little Miss is doing Pre-K this year). Before I knew it it's October and there is an email alert to this lovely trip report in my inbox and over 350 alerts here on the Disboards.

Hehehe oops! I'm really not sure how to catch up. I think I'll just start here. So.... who ended up winning the Hawaii TR game? (I'm assuming not me since I fell off the face of the earth for a while. lol)

But I need to take care of Ruby.
So a plan was hatched.
We'd go spend two days at Disney,
then maybe drive down to the Keys.
Always wanted to do that.

And she said 'yes'.
Woot!

So you were smart and then immediately scheduled her a Mani-Pedi at the Grand Floridian Spa.

It was then that I received a text.
"Luna" (our new puppy) "hurt her leg.
"Going to emergency vet."

She had broken her leg.
Needed X-rays (cha-ching)
and surgery (CHA-CHING!!)

Awa poor pkondz wallet. (And poor Puppy too)

Trip.
Canceled.

This morning, I decide to check
my credit card
to see if the bill has gone through.
Yep. There it is.
Along with about eight cash withdrawals.
For about $25 each.
(with accompanying $5 cash advance fees)
For a total of just over $270.
In Ukrainian hryvnias. (No idea. It's their money.)

Yes, they said they'd reverse the charges.
And they canceled my card.
The one with all the reservations on it.
