Canadian Buffoon's Disney With a Teen Vacation - 08/13 - The Wrap

Hi Pkondz

Hey Mac!
How's the weather on your side of the pond?

I’ve been lucky you left your draft at the work and not at the bar where I am sure someone would have drunk it had you forgot it and left it at the bar.

 Excellent! That never crossed my mind once!

This gives me time to have a few final guesses to ad to my points you never know this time I may get some right.

Stranger things have happened.

Having never been to Hawaii and most unlikely that I ever will much too great a distance to travel. I think that you can give it justice by writing a mini report about it.Great writing as usual

All right! All right! I said I'd do it!

Well here goes with the guesses

  1. A K

  2. 3 Parks

  3. Turkey leg.

  4. 10.55 pm.

  5. IT rained but you were in doors during it.

  6. Yes dinner at be our guest restaurant.

Noted.

Well, I'm glad we persuaded you to come out of hiding.

Actually, very little puts a smile on my face more quickly
than someone who comes out of lurkdom and says hi.

Awwww I am happy to put a smile on your face. Plus it is nice to be less of a creeper and get involved more in my Disney community :)

 "Less" comfortable shoes?!?!?

Good Lord! What are you wearing??? :faint:

I honestly can't believe I survived a week in Disney september heat wearing them... as soon as I learn how to upload a photo here, i'll post a picture of them.. and you will laugh, or shake your head in disbelief, or maybe cry for my feet!

You're welcome.
If you're really happy about that, you can send me her present instead.

Sure! Send me your address and i'll mail you the stuffed animal she was going to get! It's really cute!

 Well, unless you have realllllly good guesses,
it's going to be tough for you to beat this particular contest
at this point of the game.

But happy to have you playing along! :goodvibes

Well... you could put in a bonus bonus round, and i could just kill it in that. But then again... @Saturn23 could also kill it, and then be even FURTHER ahead lol

I'd have to think about that.
But I'm going to go out on a limb and say it won't be Brussels sprouts.

Good call. Nobody wants brussels sprouts. It's the most hated side.

Did you not order the smaller size?
Or did you just not eat too much of it?

I've never been a fan of cold pizza for breakfast,
even though others love it.

I actually did order the personal size pizza at Via Napoli, but it was still too much for me to eat. I'm pretty sure we ate way too much that entire week being on the dining plan.
I typically have my leftovers cold. Partly b/c i like them that way, but more so that i'm too lazy to warm them up. We don't have a microwave, and turning on the oven takes up far too much time and effort. So cold left overs it is!!

::yes:: Agree completely!
Who has time for that? There's parks to get to!

If i could just not eat while in Disney that would be perfect. Unfortunately the people we travel with (excluding my sister) usually require three meals a day. Sigh.

OMG. You and @Saturn23 really are related.
She said the exact same thing!

And I'll tell you the same thing.

Nope. Lemon beats it.

Sometimes we share a brain! We are the undefeated champions of Cranium!
We are just going to have to agree to disagree about that whole lemon thing. :crazy2:

Oh, she's doing okay in the contest, I suppose...

:rolleyes2

Hahaha. Yeah, i guess she is! :yay:

:rotfl: How long have you been waiting to use that???

Who this? pixiedust:?? Since i clicked on the emoticons and saw it... I wasn't quite sure how to fit it in. So it got its own post! lol

Oh yes, I would also like to guess 38 minutes for bus time please and thank you. :drive:

hi Pkondz
Our weather so far this year has been soo topsy turvey we have had no snow yet but it has rained virtuly every day for at lest six weeks this has been our first dry day in weeks. First time last night below freezing buy only a couple of degrees I know it sounds daft but I would rather have the snow than the rain that way everything crunches under foot rather than getting covered in mud.

Yay you're back!

Yeah sorry about that. I had to go to Mexico. Yes, had to. And i couldn't pack my desk top in my carry on, so I had no way to post!! lol

Your shoes put mine to shame.

LOL. I know. I still can't believe Mom's reject sandals were my most "comfortable" shoes of the week! As soon as I can figure out how to attach a photo to a post, i'm posting a picture of them!!

I'll accept that I guess.

@pkondz has requested the gift instead. I'm sending him your stuffed animal :cat:

:rotfl:that's exactly what I said.

We still share a brain after all these years!! :ccat:

Now that is a good idea!
I find that getting sidetracked is often the best part of any day.

You guys are suckers for punishment.

Okay.
Yea!!!
Let the beatings begin.

Or at least the spankings.
Oh, wait, this isn’t Castle Anthrax…
Guess we’ll just have to settle for beatings then.

So... I'm an idiot.
Join the club…

Yes. Yes. Go ahead and say it.
You know you want to.
Are there points in it?
Otherwise were just restating something you’ve already coped to.

The right draft is at work.
And has been the whole time.
Actually, that’s not soooo bad.
It isn’t completely lost or outright deleted.
Were that the case, then I‘d have to actually call you an idiot.

You want a Banff TR too??????
What are you taking about?
Is this even a question?

Oh.... Dear. Lord.
Hay, you’re the one that brought it up.
The writer doth protest too much, methinks.

.

When I’m reading road-trip TR’s in particular I nearly always have a browser window opened up to maps so I can follow along.

Good idea! I'll sometimes do the same thing. Also, I just like looking at maps. It's a guy thing.

So... I'm an idiot.

Yes. Yes. Go ahead and say it.
You know you want to.

"We already knew that!"

There. Feel better now?

Well, yes. Yes, I do. Thanks for asking.

Nope.
The right draft is at work.
And has been the whole time.

:sad2:

I'm an idiot.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm actually a little disappointed. I would have been happy to help you fix the points list. :rolleyes1

I've enjoyed your report. I don't comment much here but with a trip around the corner it's fun to read the reports.

You were the first one, too!

So clearly, everybody else copied me :thumbsup2

Got a place for you to stay if you ever come.

Yay thanks! Although I'll be watching my step, and keeping an eye out for sprouts under the couch. Or have you grown out of that by now?

OMG, Katie! That's exactly what I was thinking.
I may have even glanced around for the hidden cameras!

It's the only reasonable explanation!!!

Awwww I am happy to put a smile on your face.

You did!

Plus it is nice to be less of a creeper and get involved more in my Disney community :)

It's much more fun to play with the kids than to sit on the sidelines.

I honestly can't believe I survived a week in Disney september heat wearing them... as soon as I learn how to upload a photo here, i'll post a picture of them.. and you will laugh, or shake your head in disbelief, or maybe cry for my feet!

I'll hold you to that!

Sure! Send me your address and i'll mail you the stuffed animal she was going to get! It's really cute!

Yes! Score for me!
Plus I can use it to bribe one of the many females in the house.

Well... you could put in a bonus bonus round, and i could just kill it in that. But then again... @Saturn23 could also kill it, and then be even FURTHER ahead lol

So you need a Squishley specific quiz.

I actually did order the personal size pizza at Via Napoli, but it was still too much for me to eat. I'm pretty sure we ate way too much that entire week being on the dining plan.

I hear you.
I go into the dining plan with high hopes.
But by the end, I can't even stand the sight of food.

I did a bit better this time around.
Not eating brekkie helped a lot.

I typically have my leftovers cold. Partly b/c i like them that way, but more so that i'm too lazy to warm them up. We don't have a microwave, and turning on the oven takes up far too much time and effort. So cold left overs it is!!

You don't have a microwave?!?!? Do you live in a cave with no electricity?
Your oven... is it wood burning or coal?

Listen. Do yourself a favour.
Stop buying uncomfortable shoes,
of which you will be soon posting a picture, for a second.
Instead, buy a long extension cord and plug it in at your nearest neighbour's house.
Plug the other end into your brand new microwave that you bought
when you bought the extension cord.

It's like a miracle how much quicker it is.

Well except for pizza.
Microwaved pizza sucks.

Still faster, though.

If i could just not eat while in Disney that would be perfect.

But if it was a long trip, you'd die!
Wait... Wait!
It's how you make yourself take less expensive, shorter trips!

That's smart.

Unfortunately the people we travel with (excluding my sister) usually require three meals a day. Sigh.

Ditch 'em!
I'm a better date!

Sometimes we share a brain! We are the undefeated champions of Cranium!

 I had no idea I was in the presence of royalty!

We are just going to have to agree to disagree about that whole lemon thing. :crazy2:

Yep. Looks that way.

Who this? pixiedust:?? Since i clicked on the emoticons and saw it... I wasn't quite sure how to fit it in. So it got its own post! lol

Oh yes, I would also like to guess 38 minutes for bus time please and thank you. :drive:

Noted. And look at you! Posting emoticons all over the place.

I had to go to Mexico. Yes, had to.

One must do what one must do.

@pkondz has requested the gift instead. I'm sending him your stuffed animal :cat:

hi Pkondz
Our weather so far this year has been soo topsy turvey we have had no snow yet but it has rained virtuly every day for at lest six weeks this has been our first dry day in weeks.

I hope you managed to get out and see that... bright, glowy thing in the sky.

First time last night below freezing buy only a couple of degrees I know it sounds daft but I would rather have the snow than the rain that way everything crunches under foot rather than getting covered in mud.

Actually... I agree with you.
Well, to a point.
I don't want snow in the middle of summer, but you get my point.

I find that getting sidetracked is often the best part of any day.

::yes::

Yea!!!
Let the beatings begin.

Or at least the spankings.
Oh, wait, this isn’t Castle Anthrax…
Guess we’ll just have to settle for beatings then.

If it's all right with you, I'll take Castle Anthrax.

Please?

Join the club…

Do we need a sub-club to the DDC?

Are there points in it?
Otherwise were just restating something you’ve already coped to.

No points.
I don't need that many people telling me what I already know.

Actually, that’s not soooo bad.
It isn’t completely lost or outright deleted.
Were that the case, then I‘d have to actually call you an idiot.

Yeah. I learned my lesson the hard way a while back.
Not again, if I can help it.

What are you taking about?
Is this even a question?

:sad2:

Hay, you’re the one that brought it up.
The writer doth protest too much, methinks.

Actually, it was others that brought it up.
I finally decided that if there was enough interest
to just give up and bow to the inevitable.

Well now that you mention it....

Sure! :thumbsup2

Oy.

I've enjoyed your report. I don't comment much here but with a trip around the corner it's fun to read the reports.

Hi!
:welcome: to the TR!

I see you don't comment much,
so I'm especially pleased that you took the time to post here!

Pop in from time to time and say "Hi" if you feel like it.
You'll always be welcome.

So clearly, everybody else copied me :thumbsup2

Yup. I think once you posted that, everyone else who followed was like:
"Oh! Of course!"

Yay thanks! Although I'll be watching my step, and keeping an eye out for sprouts under the couch. Or have you grown out of that by now?

Those spheres of darkness and despair do not cross the threshold of my home.

Ever.

It's the only reasonable explanation!!!

::yes::

If it's all right with you, I'll take Castle Anthrax.

Please?
Nope... it's too perilous

Besides, I've got the map and I ain't planning on sharing
(and for good measure, I'm making sure that Zoot is kept quite busy so no one will be illuminating the grail shaped beacon either.)

YAY to the Maui trip report!!! You know you're not going to be able to go anywhere without writing about it anymore.

It is?
How is that possible.
I would think you'd get (much better) compliments all the time!

Some days yes, but on that particular day yours was the best.

Of course you do.
You're a naughty, naughty little girl.
I would expect no less.

More compliments! I'm on a roll :)

Dang.
Must. Try. Harder.

Keep trying but you probably won't succeed.

Hmmm.... Wouldn't chugging energy drinks be cheaper?

Much cheaper but probably not as much fun to write about.

Probably the only one we didn't go on.
Top Thrill Dragster.
Unfortunately, it was down the entire day due to high winds.
It finally opened up right at park close.
When I saw the line (plus I was beat!!!) we passed it by.

That's on my list but my courage to ride it keeps shrinking. I wouldn't have thought twice about it 10 years ago. Now I can't even stand on the glass floor on the CN Tower even though kids lie down on it. I've turned into a wuss.

Otherwise, easily it was Millennium Force for adrenalin
and Gemini (2 coasters race side by side) for fun.

I love coasters like Millennium Force. I've been on a few at other parks, really fast and smooth. I like those much better than anything that spins or goes upside down.

It's all fun in games until someone loses an eye.
Then it's hilarious.

:rotfl:

I wrote about it in my Euro TR.
Unfortunately, the links got broken in the move to the new DIS boards.

Too bad it's lost. Did you save a copy? You could just repost it. (Do it, repost it!!!)
Did you have as much fun as the Griswolds did?

In a nutshell.... I did something incredibly stupid.

I bent over.

Oh well there's your problem. You can't just expect to bend over! Does that happen often?

But I'd like to visit San Marco on the inside.
And what I was really looking forward to was Murano.
I love glass sculpture and was hoping to buy some there.

I LOVE all of that glass!!! We spent about 6 hours walking in and out of every store on our way from the train station to St. Mark's Square one time. I would buy so much of it if it wasn't for having to pack it. I ended up with a cool necklace that was apparently a mistake. They take long tubes of glass with patterns then cut them in cross section and make beads out of them. This one had all the glass patterns sort of melted so the colors smeared and made it look much more interesting. It took all day to find (since I had no idea what I was looking for until I saw it) and was different than all the others.

I wish. At least that would've been memorable.

You still have time to try again.

That's your job from now on.

Does it pay well?

LOL. I know. I still can't believe Mom's reject sandals were my most "comfortable" shoes of the week! As soon as I can figure out how to attach a photo to a post, i'm posting a picture of them!!

Haa haa!!! I can't believe you didn't end up with bleeding feet.

@pkondz has requested the gift instead. I'm sending him your stuffed animal :cat:

Only if he'll give me extra points
We still share a brain after all these years!! :ccat:

Let's word that a little differently. Share a brain would imply we only have half each.... wait.... most of the things I write here would support that theory....
