I would definitely be on board for reading it! I was watching a golf tournament in Maui this weekend and missing the place immensely.

I would total understand that you wouldn't have the energy for a contest or a huge report.
But I would love to see some of the beautiful pictures I'm sure you would take and just a paragraph or two about what you did.

Totally up for a Maui TR! It's looking more and more like TRS are the only way I'm getting back to Hawaii so please!

I would read a trip report from Maui. I mean, I followed a bunch of poofy tutus through Niagara Falls so why not?

I'll read any old thing you put out there. Unless it's something complicated or about learning. So Maui should be fine.

And the last time I tried doing a volcano, it didn't work out at all.

Hey I don't need fancy knife skills, or a volano! I did try preparing Teppan at home. I made both the sauces, an had a "griddle" for the stovetop that was almost like a flat top grill.

Darned pets.
Taking up all your time and only giving unconditional love in return.

Not to mention they are incredibly cute.

Try to get a bit of sleep.
Makes all the difference in the world.

That's not usually a ptoblem . I usually get around 10 hours or so, but leaving for vacation is a whole nother deal.

Normally that's how it goes. This was different, but that's a ways away on my TR.

I have a griddle/flat top grill which I use from time to time.
This isn't my house, but it's the same one I have.

Thank goodness it's warmed up here. I didn't have to put on my courdoroy over shirt to walk out to the car and get something. Although I am still wearing a shirt with 3/4 length sleeves. I'm just waiting for the tank top weather to come back. Hopefully next month!

It's warmed up here a bit too.
They had a cold warning out but it's up to -22C/-8F
so thank goodness that's over for a bit.

I copy all the contest data into the reply box on one of my old TRs.
The DIS is nice enough to keep it for me.
As I reply to comments, I update the points
and add (or deduct!) points.
As a backup, when I'm done for the moment,
I copy that into a Word document.
When I'm at work and I know I want to work on it at home,
I'll email it to myself and vice versa.

Two days ago I get called into work.
On my break I open up the old TR and... my draft's gone.
And I can't get it back since the Word document is at home.
I didn't email it back to work since I wasn't going to be at work.

Yesterday... same thing.
Called into work. No draft.

This morning.
This morning I know I'm working.
I open up Word (at home) and...
it's not the right draft.

Nope.
The right draft is at work.
And has been the whole time.




I'm an idiot.

I’ve been lucky you left your draft at the work and not at the bar where I am sure someone would have drunk it had you forgot it and left it at the bar. This gives me time to have a few final guesses to ad to my points you never know this time I may get some right. Having never been to Hawaii and most unlikely that I ever will much too great a distance to travel. I think that you can give it justice by writing a mini report about it.Great writing as usual
