Canadian Buffoon's Disney With a Teen Vacation - 08/13 - The Wrap

Well... that's what you're for, really.
Story of my life…

::yes:: It's called a frontal lobotomy.
Might have some minor side effects, though.
Yeah, I can see where it would be hard to feel guilty about any of the thoughts you’re no longer having.

Although I'd prefer Ariel.
Wouldn’t we all?

I'll take door number 2!
This does not surprise me…
But really, both options are basically just the same thing.

:rolleyes1:

What? I didn't say a thing!
You didn’t have to…
I had it covered pretty well.

Well, sure. But...
Can't give one of those to the 14 year old.
Details… details!

Really! I had no idea

:rolleyes2
What… you haven’t been paying attention?
You would make a good CEO

Okay.
That's reallllly familiar, but I can't place it.
Unless you just made it up.
That’s familiar?

Can I have some of those drugs…
They seem to be of very high quality.

You left with change in your pocket???

What is wrong with you?
I’m pretty sure the answer to that one was well established long before we reached this point.

.

You have no idea how big a grin I have on my face when I read that.
Likewise, after reading yours!:) In fact, I woke up this morning hoping to hear from you, my darling, and you did not disappoint. You have made my day!:flower1: I should expect no less from you.

And you're giving me all of it!
Hehe. I'll save you a spot!

Merely a blip in the bacchanalia of the holidaze.
Good to hear.

But I don't want to jinx it!
Not jinxing then!!!!!

Well, plans have changed, but it's still all good.
Really? How so?

Oh, boy.
I will agree with you that my girls light up my world.
But selfless? Attentive?
Nah. In real life I'm a big jerk.
Just ask Ruby! She'll tell you!
I highly doubt it.

In delight?
Probably more disgust.

Aw, poor lil' tyke.
I burned Elle when she was one.
She came toddling into the kitchen and I had the hot oven open.
I held out my hand to tell her not to get close.
Stupid me. My hand was in an oven mitt.
That had just held a hot dish.
Of course the mitt was hot.
She had a little blister on her forehead from me
for a day or so.

I still feel like a total and complete failure
as a father and a human being because of that.
I get upset even thinking about it.

Boy, that was tough to write.
Aw! Poor thing. Sometimes accidents happen. Don't beat yourself up.

Nope. Get's that from her Mom. I'm a jerk.
Stop with the jerk comments. I think you are lovely!

You're welcome!

She really is.
Sometimes I wonder. But other times she blows me away with her thoughtfulness.
Aw!

Yep. Don't know how many more updates.
At least two. Maybe four depending on how it goes.
Four sounds good!

Oh, geez. I knew about your birthday and totally blew it!
Well Happy Belated Birthday! :bday:
And Happy Anniversary!
Thanks! I'll take the belated wish!
I think that might be arranged... pixiedust:
Nice!

And same to you! :goodvibes
Thank you! My DH is going to the Fiesta Bowl so I will be celebrating with my little cherubs, hopefully asleep. I lead an exciting life.

Yeah, I can see where it would be hard to feel guilty about any of the thoughts you’re no longer having.

See? Problem solved!
You're welcome.

I'm telling you this now, since you won't remember later.

Wouldn’t we all?

Yes. We all would.

This does not surprise me…
But really, both options are basically just the same thing.

You have an interesting outlook on management.

I'm not disagreeing, you'll notice.

Details… details!

Ah yes. The details that could find you inhabiting a cell.

What… you haven’t been paying attention?
You would make a good CEO

:lmao:

That’s familiar?

Can I have some of those drugs…
They seem to be of very high quality.

Sure. C'mon up.

I swear I've heard something similar, somewhere.

I’m pretty sure the answer to that one was well established long before we reached this point.

 I can't argue with that.

Likewise, after reading yours!:) In fact, I woke up this morning hoping to hear from you, my darling, and you did not disappoint. You have made my day!:flower1: I should expect no less from you.

Awwww....

Hehe. I'll save you a spot!

Thanks! Oh, and the dog wants a spot too.

Not jinxing then!!!!!

OMG! Stop saying "jinx"! Oh, no! I just said it again!!

Really? How so?

New York in the summer is out. Banff is in.
New York postponed until next year, probably.

Probably more disgust.

Whoops!

Aw! Poor thing. Sometimes accidents happen. Don't beat yourself up.

Can't help it.

Stop with the jerk comments. I think you are lovely!

Well, when you're right, you're right.
You should see me in a tutu.

Awesomeness ensues.

Four sounds good!

 I thought you'd say that!
Seriously, I don't know.
It just depends on how they write out.

Thank you! My DH is going to the Fiesta Bowl so I will be celebrating with my little cherubs, hopefully asleep. I lead an exciting life.

You and me both!
"Hey let's do something wild and crazy!"
"Like what?"
"Watch TV in the living room instead of the bedroom!"

"Nah."

Ooh...Banff. Went there with my family when I was about 12, on our Big Trip West. It was definitely a highlight for a trip that also included Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Jasper, Badlands, and a few other spots. Probably cooler in August than NYC, too.

Define "cooler".

Kay definitely thinks it's not cool we switched to Banff from NYC.
The good news is; she doesn't get a say!

I had to look up Banff, since I never heard of it. It looks beautiful. I'm sure you'll have plenty of photo opportunities. I didn't take you as an outdoorsy type. What are you planning while you are there?
Oh, I purposely said lovely knowing you would give me a little sass and you sure didn't disappoint. I have visions of tutus dancing in my head!:dance3:Also, how cool is the word "awesomeness"?!!! Love it!

I had to look up Banff, since I never heard of it. It looks beautiful.

It's our first National Park. Established in 1885.
For comparison, Yellowstone (first in USA) was established in 1872.

We've been before, several years ago when the kids were pretty young.
I'm gonna say... maybe eight years ago?
It's breathtakingly beautiful and Ruby wants to see it again.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of photo opportunities.

Maybe one or two.

I didn't take you as an outdoorsy type. What are you planning while you are there?

Not crashing my car into a moose and not being eaten by a bear or mountain lion.
Those are high on my list.

Nice list! I went to Yellowstone as a young child, maybe 3 or 4. I have small memories. We drove in an rv from Ohio and I do remember waiting for the buffalo to cross the road. Moose, bear, and mountain lion sightings seem so much better. Cheers to not being lunch! :drinking1

Those memories about three feet tall?

We drove in an rv from Ohio and I do remember waiting for the buffalo to cross the road.

Well, that is where they roam, ya know.

Moose, bear, and mountain lion sightings seem so much better. Cheers to not being lunch! :drinking1

May not see a single one.
Which on the one hand would be disappointing,
but on the other hand, would ensure my survival.

CRONUT!!!!!! Oh, that was your guess on my thread From the sounds of it cronut should be the answer to everything.
I realized I only answered in my head, I think.

1. AM you are running out of days
2. Via Napoli because third times a charm
3. Living with the land
4. Test Track Need for Speed baby!
5. You only used 2.

Oh, I remember visiting Banff and Jasper as a child. I did a "you broke it you bought it" thing in a gift shop and had a nice souvenir of some deer or caribou fighting with their antlers. Good lesson.
I vaguely remembered someone touching the cooking surface at Teppan but couldn't remember whodunit

Kay definitely thinks it's not cool we switched to Banff from NYC.
Then send her down to Cleveland instead - we'll go to Cedar Point.

When I was 11 we drove to Arizona, worst trip of my life. It took so long and all we saw was a big hole in the ground! And it was soooooooooooooooo hot! Not sure I ever even saw a roadrunner. I was looking for a blue bird running really fast!

Hey Pkondzi! I hope you had a great Christmas! Or whatever you may celebrate :goodvibes

And, why yes, as a matter of fact,
we are going to Maui in just under two months.

Oh WOW!!! That is so exciting. I'm jealous!

Soon we were once again riding amongst Egyptians,
Phoenicians, my Dad, the Renaissance,
Apollo 11 and Apple.

 Hi pkondz's dad  An integral part of our Spaceship Earth.

P1020976_zpshe9dexsz.jpg

:scared1: :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc This is so cool!!!!!! Great spot.

and checked in at Teppan Edo for our ADR.
(Hmmm... 17 of you just went "D'oh!"
I could hear it from here.

:sad2:

I did not... repeat NOT, touch the cooking surface with my finger.
(I'm curious. Let me know if you get (or don't get) that reference.
Bonus points whether you do or don't get it. I just wanna know.)

Yeeeeaaaah I don't get it. I just want the bonus points.

Kaki-Gori!
aka: Shave Ice.

I've not really heard of this?! It's just... ice? It's flavoured, right?!

Nine of you celebrating.
Eighteen... not so much.

Most of you guessed we'd have a cronut.

Oops.

Yeah.... no.
Apparently 100 credits is like a couple of tokens.
And only the most boring games take just one token.
Anything that you might want to play takes three or four.

Bahhaa if I was told I had 100 free credits I'd assume that meant I had 100 games to play :rotfl: how rude!

Now it's an old game.
The line with the score was kind of... unreadable.
Kay swears I got the high score, I don't know.
She's smarter than I am, so maybe I did.
I was there for quite a long time.
She was duly impressed.

We then moved over to Guitar Hero.
She didn't get the high score.
But she too was there for a long time.
And I too was duly impressed with her axe prowess.

Aww you guysss. Father-daughter bonding :goodvibes

I thought you guys might like to see what Pop looks like.

::yes::

These look great! You are a professional.. :thumbsup2

Bonus questions, round 9!

1. AM or PM? Do we get out of our room in the morning or afternoon?

2. We have an ADR... in Epcot. Third time's the charm? Where is it?
(Hint: Not Biergarten or Teppan Edo)

3. Speaking of Epcot, what's our first ride?
(Hint: Think outside the box.)

4. Of our three Epcot FPs...
a. Which Tier one FP? Soarin', Test Track or The Land?
b. Do we use 0, 1, 2 or all 3 of our FPs?

1. This is an odd question, and the fact that it's a question in the first place, leads me to believe the answer is PM. (If this is a trick question I shan't be happy.)

2. UGH. These ones are so difficult. (Must..not..lose..motivation.... Continue..to fight..for first place..!)
I'll stick with my wrong guess from last time and say Via Napoli!

3. I have no idea what an "outside the box" Epcot ride could be.. I'm going to guess Sum of All Thrills..?!

4. a. Test Track!
4. b. Just 1 FP!

(Oh yeah, flattery points are a thing...)

Great updates Pkondz dearest!!!!!!! True entertainment from an excellent writer :flower3:

(regardless of flattery points, the above statement is true :thumbsup2)

CRONUT!!!!!! Oh, that was your guess on my thread From the sounds of it cronut should be the answer to everything.

 That should be the answer to everything!

I realized I only answered in my head, I think.

Makes it hard for others to hear.

1. AM you are running out of days
2. Via Napoli because third times a charm
3. Living with the land
4. Test Track Need for Speed baby!
5. You only used 2.

Noted.

Oh, I remember visiting Banff and Jasper as a child. I did a "you broke it you bought it" thing in a gift shop and had a nice souvenir of some deer or caribou fighting with their antlers. Good lesson.

:lmao: "Mommmm! But I don't want this!"

I vaguely remembered someone touching the cooking surface at Teppan but couldn't remember whodunit

Hmmm... I'm gonna say that makes it 3 out of 17.

Then send her down to Cleveland instead - we'll go to Cedar Point.

Ha! She'd probably go for that.

When I was 11 we drove to Arizona, worst trip of my life. It took so long and all we saw was a big hole in the ground!

"Big hole".... :faint:
Visits one of the world's best meteor craters... if not the best and calls it a "big hole".

:sad2:

It's on my bucket list.

And it was soooooooooooooooo hot! Not sure I ever even saw a roadrunner. I was looking for a blue bird running really fast!

You're problem is you need to first look for the Acme dynamite delivery truck.

Hey Pkondzi! I hope you had a great Christmas! Or whatever you may celebrate :goodvibes

I did! Hope you did too!

Oh WOW!!! That is so exciting. I'm jealous!

Good! I was jealous of you and Paris, now it's your turn!

 Hi pkondz's dad  An integral part of our Spaceship Earth.

::yes:: :laughing:

:scared1: :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc This is so cool!!!!!! Great spot.

I don't recall if I mentioned it, but it was Kay that spotted him.

Yeeeeaaaah I don't get it. I just want the bonus points.

Granted. And that makes it 3 out of 18.

I've not really heard of this?! It's just... ice? It's flavoured, right?!

It is ice.
The quality is judged by how finely shaved it is
(Not that finely at Epcot, unfortunately)
and the quality of the syrup.
(Again... not great at Epcot.)

Really Katie. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?

Bahhaa if I was told I had 100 free credits I'd assume that meant I had 100 games to play :rotfl: how rude!

I figured games would be anywhere from 1 to 4 credits.

Yeah. Not so much.

Aww you guysss. Father-daughter bonding :goodvibes

::yes::

These look great! You are a professional.. :thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes

Oh, for goodness sake :rotfl2:

Still have time to change that.

Susan R, I think you should change your guess :rotfl:

Nah. She knows we wind up waiting nine and a half hours for DME.

Wait, WHAT?!?!?! How did I miss this??? I read the whole thing!!!! WOW although this TR is entertaining, it's also frustrating :furious:

I give out points for paying attention in class young lady.

I'm holding on to tenth place! :thumbsup2

But you could do better if you just paid attention in class!

4. a. Test Track!
4. b. Just 1 FP!

Noted.

(Oh yeah, flattery points are a thing...)

Oh? It's an afterthought, is it?

Great updates Pkondz dearest!!!!!!! True entertainment from an excellent writer :flower3:

Oh, geez. And then you call me "dearest". I'm a sucker for that.

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when
@afwdwfan or @GoofyIsAsGoofyDoes start doing it.

(regardless of flattery points, the above statement is true :thumbsup2)

Thanks!
