My brother and his wife take a trip to Maui almost ever February. Apparently this is the whales mating season?

Don't know if it's mating or calving season
but it is the time when they're there.

So sightings are very prevalent.

My brother had a too close for comfort encounter once while on a kayak. Less than 200 meters away a whale completely breached the water. He said it was one of the most amazing but scary experiences in his life!
