Canadian Buffoon European Vacation - 30/03 - Endings and Silver Linings

I've been waiting to post, hopin Nebo would post first. but he hasn't beenon the computer in ages.

Is this some kind of weird reverse race?
If so... you lost.

between his eyes and his wrist... sigh. when we get back I really REALLY want to look into some type of lap top for him with large print, and with voice activation software.

Make sure you find one that automatically inserts copious amounts of commas...

:rolleyes1:

we are leaving very early sat april 26, (ooh, thumper, you were SO close!)

So I better get off my butt and call pretty darn soon is what you're saying, right?

plane leaves a 6 am, so taxi coming at 3:30. heck for me that IS friday night!!!:rotfl:

Is there even any point to trying to sleep?
You'll be too much like this
:hyper:

By the time you do fall asleep (if you do) it'll be time to get up!

I told the kids I ma purchasing them each a case of condoms to use in the months of december, since they are not allowed to have ANY more kids in the month of sept.! it's our fav. time to go to WDW.

ponzi call and let us know about your visit. I think I might have a few days off that week.. weekends are a no go for me. the owner of the restaurant is already not happy with all my days off for disney (hey! I don't get paid for them).

It won't be the weekend. We'll get to Chicago on Tuesday July 1st.
But I'll definitely give you guys a call so we can arrange something.

by the way, you are thinking of going to Cedar Point over 4th of July week? are you nutz??? ok.. I'm sure it will be fun.. but crowded.

No, no, no, nope, no way, no how.
As I mentioned we get there on Tuesday and should be visiting the city on the Wednesday.
I'm hoping a mid-week visit will be okay.

give nebo a call. apparently it's the only way to "talk " to him.. actually talking!:rotfl:

I'm going to skype him and hold up typed sheets for him to read.

we';;; let you know how all this fast pass + stuff works. we could only book them ahead of time for 2 days, since that's all the tickets we have at this time (until we upgrade to annual passes)... then we can book FP+ for the rest of the trip. I guess we'll go to one of those kiosks to do that.

Hmmm... so you're (almost) losing out on being able to book ahead.
Booking far ahead is out, anyway.
Interesting to see if that'll come back to bite you or not.

Nebo says he doesn't care about plans, schedules, rides, he just wants to BE there, and what we do, we do. I am thinking about doing a DNA test on him, to make sure he is really Nebo and hasn't been abducted. :rotfl2:

Actually... I get it.
"I don't care about plans.... lets just go!"

Yeah, cause that's how you write. :sad2: Can't humble be put to bed now? :rotfl2: It's WAY past his bedtime.

Bring it on. Yeah!

Fine. No more humble.

This will be the most mind-blowing, epic (in the true sense of the word, not like how the kids use it these days to describe their bowl of cereal), glorious TR that's ever graced the pages of the DISboards.

You will be swept up in a whirlwind of exotic locations, fantastic adven..

adventures, amaz...

amazing...

arrrghhh.... the Canadian in me is trying to apologize...

amazing encount.... ers..... and... and....

You gonna come down to Niagara Falls for a visit?

Pkondz, of course you need to do a PTR!

I am! I am! I said I would!
What do you people want from me!!! Blood?

Do NOT answer that.

We can talk about anything.....the weather, I suppose toe fungus ads, NO! Nononononononono! evil suitcases nicknamed Christine, RIP... Rest in pieces how we miss Nebo.

I miss Nebo!!!!

Yeah... It's just not the same without him, right?
He's the reason I'm even writing these things...

I have to call him, see if the prunes have helped his disposition any and if he doesn't answer, well, even more proof that he is indeed eating them! ;)

:lmao:

And on the homefront, my newly turned six year old Daisy girl scout lost her very first tooth this evening!! She's growing up on me. Boy was she proud of that hole in her gum line!!

Oh, I remember those days!
How much did the tooth fairy have to cough up?

buzz, I've been nibbling on the prunes. nebo doesn't do fruit.:headache:

But he needs them! Badly!

Shoes? Shoes?
You realize I'm a guy, right?

No, we didn't get a new suitcase.
I'm still in mourning (snicker) for the old one.

No, no, shoes are for the girls. For you we want to know what colour (er, color) and size of truss you bought for the continuing war of the suitcases.

Oh, I knew the shoes were for the girls,
I meant that as a guy, I wouldn't know what they wore.

Or care.

Unless it was flip flops and we were going for a long walk in Paris.

But that would never happen, right? <ahem> :rolleyes2

As for the suitcases.
1. They're dancers. Ergo they're in far far better shape than moi.
So they can carry their own darned suitcases!!!
2. For myself... no truss required. I'm bringing this instead:

Take two... as per instructions...

Dramatic. :rotfl2:

Fine. Go ahead and gloat.

Oh I have. We have. :thumbsup2

You gonna come down to Niagara Falls for a visit?

!

I wish. I've been banished from my home and well up looking after a family member in a town north of here. So I would have to get coverage. So Canada Day, you're in Chicago. Lucky. Chicago! What are the dates for Niagara? Probably can't swing it, as I'm asking for a good deal of coverage around my birthday, but I'll certainly try. Can't wait for the TR. Love road trips. :goodvibes .

So Canada Day, you're in Chicago. Lucky. Chicago!.

I'll be in the States for Canada Day then back in Canada for July 4th...

I maybe have issues with timing...

What are the dates for Niagara?.

We'll arrive late on July 3rd and leave for the trip back on the 7th.

Probably can't swing it, as I'm asking for a good deal of coverage around my birthday, but I'll certainly try..

I'll have to PM you or something once I'm there.
I don't know when the dances are yet.
Might know earlier, but.... :confused3

Can't wait for the TR. Love road trips. :goodvibes .

Road trips are great... but Kay is definitely not a fan.
Me: "So, Kay. Wanna go to Niagara Falls?"
Kay: "Are we flying?"
Me: "No. Driving."
Kay: "Nope."

je m'excuse, désolé!
¡Lo siento!, ¡Perdón!
Scusi!

You know Lisa, that's a great life's quest! Canada's favorite expression in as many languages as you can visit in the world!!

OMG, she IS priceless. :rotfl2: I was going to say "who the heck doesn't love the road?" But then we would just chant give me K -----K! :lmao:

Man, she's pretty set in her ways and choices and decisions, eh? :goodvibes

The worst was when I was in Japan where saying "sorry" was like a PT job to figure out. Easy to use something completely erroneous or too casual and then what do you do to fix SORRY. :lmao: The ultimate Canadian horror story. ;)

Thanks!

I'll let you in on a little secret.

Almost every time I post, I go to see how many posts there are and how many views there's been.

Granted over 300 of those posts are mine, but...
I still marvel... no... boggle at those numbers.

To say I'm shocked, would be an understatement.
And very, very grateful.

If someone would've told me that this thread would approach 100,000 views...
I would've laughed in their face.

Then said sorry, of course.

wow! that's a TON of views! doesn't that make you feel good? Nebo always got so thrilled at he amount of views.

Absolutely! ::yes::
I feel like a best-selling author.

Without the book signings, fan adoration or... money.

And not to harsh your glow dude, but it got me thinking about my first intro to trip reports. Went back and checked RigLee's TR, only a bit more than 1400 posts, but now over a HALF-MILLION views! That girl really should have written a book! She'd be able to go to Disney every year on the royalties. Probably be able to make bail for Rig too!

Hoppy Easter everyone!

Hoppy Easter to you too!
And everyone else! :goodvibes

And she's still out there somewhere.
I think it was on Thumpy's first TR she posted that she was following along.
Never posted again, as far as I know.
Remember that T-Man?

Gee, thanks at lot, Banker. I was bored, so I said "wow, great idea, I could re-read that report" So I searched and found it and now I am hooked again when I should be going to bed :rolleyes1
