Can you walk from Ft. Wilderness to the Wilderness Lodge?

We will be staying at ASMu in a family suite, but hace decided to spend our arrival evening doing the campfire at the Fort. We would also like to check out the Wilderness Lodge to see if we might like to stay there on our next trip, and I thought if we could walk over after the show, we could check out the lodge and then take the lodge bus over to DDD to get back to our hotel. I figured ya'll would know better than anyone. Can we do this?

there is a walking path between the two resorts. 20 -30 minutes walk time. however it is not lit, so only used in daytime. you can however catch a bus to the WL from the Fort, or drive.

Don't forget the boat, you can go to the marina and catch one of the boats.

Hi, Ashley!

Yes, it can be done. What you want to do is take a bus from the Meadow Trading Post to the Settlement Depot. You can also cut thru the 1400 camping loop (ask a CM for directions) and take a bus from there to settlement. When you get to Settlement Depot, ask the driver to point you to the exercise path that takes you to WL. It'll be approx. a 1 mile walk. It's a paved path, but not well lighted, so you might want to bring a flashlight with you.

So, if I was to take a bus to MK from ASMu, I could get on a boat from MK to FW, and then, after the end of the water pageant, I could take a boat from FW to the WL? Will the boats running bewteen the two resorts still be running then?
