My kids and I are seasonal passholders. My husband is deployed, so obviously he has no pass as of now. We are going to Disney for a few days during his R&R, and really want to take advantage of the dining plan. If we book a MYW package with a one day/one park ticket attached to it for each of us, can my husband turn around and upgrade it to a seasonal pass the first day we are there? And, in turn, can my kids and I hold on to our tickets, and then "trade them in", so to speak, to renew our seasonal passes when renewal time comes (which won't be until 7 months after our trip)?
When I called AAA to get pricing for this package, the Disney castmember told my AAA agent that no, I could not use my tickets to renew my SP. However, when the kids and I went in September, we were able to use our tickets from the Stay, Play, and Dine package to upgrade to a seasonal pass for each of us, at the guest relations window at MK. I just wasn't sure if they changed the rules since then, or if they will only let you use your ticket toward the price of a new SP, and not a renewal.
If not, can we sell the one day/one park tickets to a friend? Or is it attached to your room key? Also, how long is the standard one day/one park ticket good for?
Hope this makes sense, and thanks in advance for anyone who can help!
