Can you use your Grandfather's AAA card? My GF has AAA...but I do not! I just need 3 nights in May. What do you think? I have always gone at Value Rates never using a "code". Thank you all DISers for teaching me the ropes!

XOXOXO

To get a AAA discount, you will need to purchase your own AAA membership. If your grandfather is going with you, then he can book the rooms and use his card to get the discount. But, if he is not going with you, then his card won't work for you. If you book with AAA, they will ask for your membership #. If you book through disney with a AAA room only discount, then you will need to show your AAA card at check in.

I think as long as someone who is staying in the room has AAA, that is fine. I have taken two trips with my boyfriend to WDW using the AAA rate. Once I booked room only with Disney and when we checked in, they didn't care that I was the one with the AAA card while the reservation was in my boyfriend's name. And at the AAA office when we booked a package, the AAA agent didn't care about that either. They both said as long as a AAA member is staying in the room, that's fine.

So I think as long as your Grandfather is staying in the room with you, then you can use his AAA card for the discount. If not, then no.

One person just has to show a card at check in if the CM asks. AAA agents will book a Disney trip even if you don't have a membership card- you would just need to have one at the time of check in.
