Can you use your Disney Visa to pay your mortgage

Generally speaking you usually can not pay a credit bill (mortgage, car payments, credit card payments) with more credit.

It definitely depends upon the bank issuing the loan. I can pay my car payment using a visa card by phone for free. But if I want to pay by check by phone or electronic check (you know go in to your bank account and pay that way) there is a $14.95 fee. :confused3.

All of my utilities charge a fee for using a CC, so not worth it. But I should look into at least paying our auto/life insurance with a CC.

I already checked on the mortgage way back when we bought the house, it's a no-go for CC payments (dang!).

But I do use the CC for EVERYTHING else! Gas, groceries, you name it I charge it...and then pay it off at the end of the month! I earn enough miles for a free domestic airline ticket (or upgrade to 1st) every year, all for buying things I'd buy anyway.

We did pay a few months of mortgage payments with a credit card once. I won't go into why but they certainly did allow it at the time. This was a Chase card but it has been several years.

What about purchasing a money order for a CC & paying the mortgage that way?

Aren't there fees involved in purchasing a money order? Wouldn't that negate the rewards earned by using the CC?

Well, this is how I look at it. Lets say your mortgage payment is $2500. Postal MO's cost $1.10 for 0-$500 & $1.50 for $501-$1000. It would cost $4.10 for the PMO's but, if using the Disney VISA you would make $25 so a net gain of $20.90.

I would of course pay off the whole balance when the bill comes in. tia

You don't even have to wait until the bill comes - send your payment as soon as you've made the charge, and then you don't have to worry about paying interest if your payment isn't posted on time for some reason.

You can use CC's to pay for cars, or at least a nice portion of it....depending on the Car / dealer.

I know someone who bought a car with a CC (it was a used car, but still, a few thousand dollars). She asked the dealership if they took CCs and they said yes, apparently thinking she was going to use it for her down payment. When she offered it up for the entire cost of the car instead, they tried to refuse but she said "You told me you would do it, and I don't see a single sign or any indication on this contract saying otherwise." They changed their policy after that.

I just checked Wells Fargo's website and you cannot pay your mortgage using a credit card. Just an FYI :thumbsup2
