Can you use DDE on the Fantasmic Dinner Package?

We are thinking of buying a DDE card rather than using DDP on an upcoming trip but we have a Mama Melrose Fantasmic package reserved that we dont want to change. Can we use DDE toward that?

They allowed me to use it at Hollywood and Vine in July.

When I called to book the reservations, they said no.

However, when I went to pay for it, I handed them my credit card and my DDE card. They gave me this discount with no problem.
