Can you use counter service credit towards table service meal?

Hi! We're debating on getting a dining plan. One of the questions I have and can't find an answer on is - can you use a counter service credit at a table service meal and pay a difference?

No you can't.

CS credits cannot be used at any restaurants or meals that require table service credits so you cannot use a CS credit plus cash or 2 CS credits for a TS meal. You can, however, trade down - using a TS credit for a CS meal, but it is not a good use of the TS credit because it will be a 1:1 trade. It can only be done after using up all of your CS credits.
