She can use the gift card if she is buying from Disney. Ticket sellers like Undercover Tourist do not accept them. Tickets do not expire if they have not been used. She should be fine. Just don't take too long to order those tickets. Sometimes it can take Disney a little while to process the order. If she waits until the last week of Dec., she might end up losing out.

Great thanks :)

Two parts to this answer.

1. The special $10 "bonus" cards are valid only at The Disney Store or online at www.disneystore.com and cannot be used at the Parks or Resortsd.

2. Based on a change a few months ago, you can now use an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards on a transaction at any WDW Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Office.

3. You can also apply Disney Gift Cards to your room account, as long as it is done prior to checkout, and any KTTW charges will be applied to them before the credit card on file.

Hope this is still current information. I have a few $25 GCs from the family and was hoping to use them for my AP this month and my TiW card too. I thought there was a limit of "transactions" per ticket (I'm thinking 3) so was trying to stratagize how to use my variety of GCs. Tks

Regarding the $10 free gift card with gift card purchase at Sam's, can use use it at the Disney Store at the Orlando International Airport? Thanks for the info!

I've been saving my gift cards and called WDW today to order my tickets. I was told on the phone I could only use 2 gift card payments per person. I was so upset I started crying on the phone. We'll have to go to Downtown Disney the night we get there to buy the tickets there with the gift cards. THe agent did go ahead and get our order so all I have to do it give them our confirmation number.

But I was frustrated and everywhere I've looked it said you could use gift card to buy parks, no limit.

Phone and internet ticket orders are governed by a different set if rules from the ticket booths. You can use as many GCs as it takes to pay for your tickets at a Disney World ticket booth. They can only take 2 forms of payment for them over the phone.

Yes!! They sell them all.

Seeking clarification/understanding: are we able to purchase theme park tickets in DTD, using an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards? :confused3

If so, where do we purchase theme park tickets in DTD?

Thanks much :flower3:

This is not correct. It was changed over a year ago, and you can use an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards on ticket purchases.

And the only places where you cannot use a Disney Gift Card at WDW are certain small carts which don't accept any charges or certain food and merchandise that are not owned and operated by Disney, although most will take them.

Cheshire Figment, I know you're the expert on this so here's my final question. If I am to upgrade my ticket at my Disney resort there won't be a problem using gift cards or should I do it at guest services at the parks?

Can I still buy a 10 day park hopper no expiration at Downtown Disney?
If you're getting anything over an 8 day park hopper- STOP- get the annual pass instead with the Tables in Wonderland Option (only available with an annual pass). Why you say - so glad you asked....
-An 8 day park hopper with no expiration option already costs $$$$ (obviously for 10 days it's more) versus getting the annual park hopper which only costs $634 and add the Tables in Wonderland option for $75 more
-With an annual pass you're guaranteed quite a few perks: free parking, discounts at some restaurants, disney resort discounts and merchandise discounts valid at almost every outpost and shop at disney plus disney stores back home
-the Tables in Wonderland Option is AWESOME- you get 20% off ALL of your food and Drinks that you purchase at the restaurants. Now, in all fairness with this option they add a mandatory 18% gratuity back on - but be realistic with this, you're going to tip the server anyways, so basically you're getting tip free meals. I know for most people this isn't huge- but for just me and my husband this paid for itself in two days. (We don't have kids so it's just him and me) I hope that convinces you it's a great deal.
-Back to the annual pass- I get it - it's only good for one year- but if you go August one year and then the next year for example go in July you still won't have to pay for another ticket plus you're now on an unlimited amount of days instead of being limited to 8 or 10. Since I got my park hopper last Labor Day I've already been back on two separate trips plus am going back in May and early August - that's 4 separate trips- which to me means over $800 in savings on park tickets. I know if I didn't have the annual pass I wouldn't have gone so much and don't know when we'll purchase another one since we just bought a house, but I'm definitely going to live it up while I have it. :)

Well, I'm glad I got 10 day no expiration park hoppers in 2006 (for under $400) and we used them over three years and still have 2 days (except for my DS who has 4 days) left on them. I know most people don't do WDW like this, but for us this was by far the best bang for our buck.
