can you upgrade a hopper to annual pass?

I currently have 4 days left on a 6 day hopper but we were thinking of going for longer than originally planned for. Can we apply the balance to an annual pass and pay the difference? If so, would that be the price of a 4 day hopper? Has anyone done this? Also can I call or does it have to be in person at a park.

Thanks,
Rellim

I upgraded to an AP and applied my one day left on a 5-day park hopper. It has to be done at a Guest Relations in any of the parks (I was at Epcot) and they will scan your park hopper and tell you what the monetary value is, then deduct it from the price of the AP. I think mine was worth about $40 (?) if memory serves me right!!! :smooth:

they prorate the value based upon the original price.

So if for example you paid $200 10 years ago for the ticket and now its worth $300, they prorate of the lower value. (Numbers completely made up for illustration...)

I think the 6 day passes are newer, but for others who might have an old ticket, it might just be worth sitting on it instead of 'cashing' it out.

I agree with the idea of keeping a pass instead of upgrading to another pass, but, do make the exception for an annual. I think that is the one time you do make out on an upgrade.

What if you have a hopper plus pass with 1 regular day left on it and 3 plus options. Do you get some kind of credit for the plus options?
