can you upgrade a childs pass to an adult one?

We have passes for Universal from a trip that was supposed to happen last year but was derailed because of illness. We are planning on going this year but now my son who was 9 last year will need an adult pass because he is 10 now. Will they allow me to upgrade the child pass for the difference in cost?
