We were going to book a room at the AP rate for 2 all stars, 2 mods, or a cabin for Dec. 3-7 but nothing was available. We are planning a trip for May and if they have ap rates, I wanted to try and get one. I could get one 4 day pass for december and then buy an AP in May, or I could get the 7 day in dec and then upgrade to AP if it is allowed or if no rates come out then we still have 3 days left on that pass. If anyone can help me I would really be grateful!

Yes, you can upgrade but will only get a prorated portion. Keep in mind for an AP disount only one person needs it. Depending on the make up of your party you may want to buy a child AP and use that for dining and resort discounts. Usually 8-11 days is break even depending if you buy your PH direct or from a broker.

Good luck
Sandy

Those 3 days on that hopper will never expire. I think that personally, I would hold on to the never expiring hopper and buy annual passes, especially if you plan to tour 8 days or more during the calendar year.
