Can You Unborrow All Points Until April 30th?

If I borrow some of my 2022 use years points into 2021 but end up canceling the bookings, can I return those points back to the 2022 use year as long as its done before the temporary rules go away (april 30th) ?
I ask this because it was mentioned to me on the phone by member services but I didnt see it written in their temporary policy.

I just got my answer through chat. Hopefully this helps others. She also did mention its returned systematically so you dont have to call to return the points to the use year it was borrowed from.

I would add that I would give yourself some cushion if you plan to do that. Do not rely on the website on April 30th because if you have trouble getting things canceled on time, it could become a headache for you.

Heed @Sandisw's advice. There have been far too many reports lately of members finding the website will not work correctly at times and long periods when no one answers the phone at MS.

Oh yea, great advice. I’m one of those affected by the site crashing every time I try to borrow points for a reservation and have to call in which has always taken 45 minutes to get through to someone.
