Can you tell me...what does this mean?

Over the last 2 days, 4 people have asked me for advice and links to websites to research their Disney trips. My cousin's friend, two coworkers and my daughter's first grade teacher have all asked me for trip advice. Does this mean I'm obsessed? Does it mean that I've crossed the realm into Disney junkie? The teacher said she had heard about our Disney trip every day since my daughter got back and it sounded like we had so much fun and did so many cool things she wanted to know our secret because she's probably going next Spring Break. As I emailed her back, I felt like a Disney sales person. She'll still be a newlywed then and I suggested a Wishes Cruise with Champagne (gave her that number and dialing instructions), said that POR (cuz I am a POR :cheer2: ) would be romantic and they could ride with horse and carriage maybe. I gave her the link to here (of course) and All Ears. Told her where to call for PSs. Am I brainwashed  , or is the normal post Disney DISer vacation behavior?

I would say it's normal DIS'er behavior. The same thing happens to me. I get people at work, neighbors, friends of friends (you get the picture ) asking me for advice. I give it freely (somtimes too freely :rotfl: ).

I took my daughter for a playdate and the other mom said she wasn't going to buy any books or touring plans. She was just going to let me plan her entire trip. I think I have become obsessed. I've been late to work because I've been too busy reading the boards and then can't wait to get through enough work that I can sneak back on the boards at the office. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I would say it is pretty normal. I am pretty obsessive about my planning and everyone knows it -- not that the Mickey Mouse desk set is a dead giveaway or my autographed picture of Snow White! Someone mentions they are going to WDW and I send them my Word document with little tips to make their trip better. People ask me about hotels, tickets, discounts, PSs, you name it! Everyone tells me I should work for Disney!

You have an autographed picture of SNOW WHITE??!!! I'm jealous! What's the secret? How can I get one??? :sad2:

Totally normal, happens to me all the time too. I even get referrals to people I don't even know! My brother had one of his clients from work call me...somebody I don't know...for advice on her upcoming trip. I didn't mind, she was very nice and very appreciative, but it was still kinda funny.
I'm beginning to think anytime anyone hears "Disney" they say "Hey, let me give you a number to this girl I know, her name's Lisa...she's a little, ya know, obsessed, but she KNOWS Disney!" :rotfl:

I think you're normal - like the rest of us here! :rotfl2:
Actually, I think it's pretty cool to become so knowledgeable about Disney - thanks to these boards. Although, I've only been twice in my life (going again in just 65 days!!!), I've discovered I know more about WDW than a lot of people I know who have been LOTS of times! I was talking with an aquaintance/friend today and found out that she has been 12 times - yet she knew nothing of these boards, Mousesavers, etc. which are just a wealth of information. She got so excited hearing about all that I've learned and couldn't wait to look into all of the sites herself.

Happens to me all the time. I'll only actually plan the trips for people I know REALLY well though - I don't want to get blamed for someone's bad vacation. For many people I just set them in the right direction and offer help along the way as they need it.

Then again, the only people I ever know who have a truly "bad" time at WDW are those that don't plan a thing, show up in the middle of July, pay rack rate for a hotel, sleep till noon, and expect to walk-on attractions. ;) Believe it or not, I know a bunch of people who did things just like that - and they are the only people I know who have a "bad" time at WDW.

My son saw me on the DIS boards tonight and he said "OMG Mom..what are you DOING?" and I said "what???" and he said "ok we are already HOME from our vacation...why are you on a Disney site?" I explained to him that maybe I could help other people who had questions, like things about the boat to DTD from POR...stuff like that. He accepted that hesitantly.

But isn't that what makes it so much fun.. I am such a Disney freak that I love to talk about it.. I love to give people tips and tricks.. tell them what no to miss and what is Ok to skip... I guess I live vicariously through them and love every minuet of it!!
