Can you tell me about OKW?

We have plans to stay in a 2-bedroom @ OKW this October. We are travelling with a disbaled child, who enjoyed the programs offered at BWV's
Community Hall. WE have requested a room in a building with an elevator close to Hospitality house... in case of a 911 call. Byt would like to know how far that would be from Community Hall, getting on the boats to DTD (Are the boats accessible?), the main pool, the closest quiet pool? Also how bad are the bugs (mosquitos) that time of year at this resort? DD tends to swell with bug bites due to meds.
Any info would be great.

I hope you requested the elevator buildings for medical reasons. They are all near the Hospitality House and would be equidistant from both the main pool and Miller's Road neighborhood pool. We have been to OKW several times in October, and didn't notice the mosquitosk but we did get some little tiny red bites from something last October. Not sure if they were at OKW or the parks.
DTD boats are pretty accessible, I think there is a ramp. I even remember once having seeing eye dogs on there with a guest.

We stayed in a 2BR in Oct 2003. It was wonderful. We were on the first floor right across the street from the Old Turtle Pond Road bus stop. We didn't have any trouble with bug bites. We were near a quiet pool, but not right next to it. We were quite a distance from the HH, though.

That was NOT an elevator building though. I would say that any first floor room is pretty accessible too, and most times HH is a quick bus ride away, if you are unable to walk a block or two.
