Can you tell me about Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements 7?

They are on sale at Costco, both for $69.99. I've never used any type of Photoshop, ever, but always been intrigued by the idea.

Would anyone be willing to share what I might use these products for? I understand that you can edit your photos and make digital layouts, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.

You pretty much answered your own question. Some people get it to fix their photos, other get it to scrap digitally, or you can create any other type of graphics in it.

I've used Photoshop Elements 6 and Photoshop CS3 in the past and just started using CS4. I've started reading a book about CS4 because it is SO powerful and there is so much to learn! If you want to fix red-eye, re-size photos, make minor edits, and get into digital scrapbooking, then Elements would work great! You can do a lot with it and that is a good price. If you really want to get into graphics and changing pictures, the full blown Photoshop is the way to go, but allow for a big learning curve (and a big price tag). You can find good tutorials on-line for Elements, too, to help you learn all the amazing things it can do
