Can you tell how long a Southwest sale will last?

Does it state on a Southwest sale somewhere how long the sale prices are in effect? We are thinking of adding another person on to our reservation and the price just went back down to $49/each way again (pit-mco), but the other person hasn't decided yet. Just wondering if I can give him a cut-off date to decide by.

Airline sales or basically until they sell enough seats. My rule of thumb is buy it now as the sale fare may be gone the next time I check the web site.
