Can you take ship towels off the ship to beaches?

Hi All! I was just wondering, we'll be doing the Eastern Caribbean in September and I'm thinking we'll just catch a cab to Magens Bay. Can we grab some towels from the pool deck and take them with us and bring them back on or should we bring our own towels from home?

Also, does anyone know how long the ride is from the port to Magens Bay? Is it one of those scary, harrowing drives? Thanks!!!

Yes, you can take towels from the pool deck when getting off the ship in port. They will have bins to return them to outside the ship when you return.

As you're getting off the boat they have carts of clean towels for you to grab. Also, when returning there are bins for you to drop them in. When we arrived back to the ship in Tortola they had ice cold water infused with fruit and cold cloths for passengers to enjoy. No cold cloths in St. Thomas but we enjoyed the water! Also, it was looking like rain in Tortola and they were handing out rain ponchos for everyone to take. They scan your key to the world card when you get off and when you get back on as well so be sure to take with you. Getting back on they checked IDs too...I believe in Tortola.

I always prefer to grab towels from the pool deck after I finish breakfast before we exit the ship so I can pack our bag for the port neatly and not be trying to squeeze towels in on the dock. But if you forget to get the towels from the pool deck, they are usually available as you exit the ship.

Adults need their photo id in addition to their KTTW card in all ports, including Castaway Cay.

We were in a mid size your bus and it took about 30 minutes to get there with stopping once for a picture opportunity. Wasn't a nerve wracking ride at all, very scenic actually.
