Can you take food in to Disneyland?

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I'm new and couldn't see anything about it on the fairly recent posts.

Can you take food, or at least some snacks into DL? How about bottled water?

How about the other local amusement parks?

Yes, we took snacks, and bottled water into the park, and into Universal Studios. They check your bags when you enter DL and we were told water and snacks are okay, but they dont want you bringing glass bottled drinks, or mayo. HTH.

I understand the glass bottles because they are so easily broken.

Sorry I wasnt very clear. What the lady said was no glass, like no large glass jars of mayo. You could bring mayo if not in a glass jar!

Last time we went (about a week ago), I saw someone have to throw away a couple of cans (didn't see what of), so I'd guess that they don't want cans or bottles (deadly weapons when thrown) in the park. Plastic juice & water bottles are ok.

When we just went we were able to bring in soda cans every time ... so it may be hit and miss. From reading elsewhere ... snacks are fine, but if you are bringing in full meals, they might not let you (I believe they indicate that you are not supposed to bring in food at all).

They do say no outside food or drink in the park, but we have always brought soda, water and snacks and never even had a comment in bag check. We go quite often, so I'm sure they just let people. I'm sure the other posters are correct on no glass containers, though, but we've never brought anything like that. All of the food places will give you a cup of ice if you just ask.
