We will be at FW/WDW the third week of October. I was wondering if you are allowed to take food (snacks in a backpack) into the parks? Also are sports bottles (your own water) allowed? Some places will only allow unopened bottled water. Thanks for any answers.

Yes, you can take food and snacks, your bag will be searched as you go in. Water is ok, I've brought in translucent containers, no prob. Don't know about the aluminum bottles.

We have taken Brita sports bottles into the parks several times without a problem. That way if you need to refill you get nice filter water every time.

We also bring snacks as well.

Great news ! They now serve food in the parks !!:woohoo:

Forgive me,,I'm a idiot. We bring in snacks sometimes too.

We take a lunch and chilled drinks into every Disney theme park and rent a locker to stash it in.

No glass (except baby food jars are permitted), no alchohol, no wheeled coolers. Be discreet and you won't have a problem at all.

Sometimes we eat dinner at a TS restaurant but if you're the choice is to pay $8-10 per person for a CS (that's pretty awful quality-wise) or save that money and put it toward a dinner TS, we choose to bring our own lunch.

For 5 of us in our family that's an economic plan I can understand!

The nice thing about still having a little one is that we have a nice size stroller with a nice size carrier on the bottom which we take a soft cooler that we take snacks. Caprisun for the kids and bottle water for us along with snacks for all. Also if we decide to sit down to eat we have room for left-overs.
