Can you take a boat to DTD from OKW?

Absolutely! It is a nice boat ride to DTD from OKW but you can also walk to DTD and Saratoga Springs from OKW. I am a big fan of OKW!!!! have fun!

The boat from OKW is really a big pontoon boat. It runs hourly from 11 AM until 11 PM (I think).

from OKW to DTD.

We had a funny thing happen this last january. Our family of 4 was waiting at the launch for the boat to come. Just us. It's like a gang plank with a rope across it. The boat came and the skipper let everyone off.
He asked us if we had been waiting long and we said no, not at all. He than asked if we mined if he took a 5 minute break (we thought to go potty) and of course we said no. So he unclips the rope and tells us to wait on the boat. So he never clipped the rope back up.

Well.......we went ahead and go on and within 5 minutes, when he got back the boat was filled....packed to the gills.....do boats have gills???? Need less to say he was shocked when he came back. There wasen't even standing room...rofl. People just kept coming out of no where, he wasen't able to even get on.

He says "If I can't get on the boat, we have a problem"!!!

Everybody was good natured about it. Ended up everyone had to have a seat....everyone else off. My kids still laugh about where all these people came from so quick.

Couples and families had doubled up and were sitting on laps......skipper said
we're over our weight limit....nobody sneazee.

it is fun to ride the boat - it stops at SSR on the way to DD and on the way back....

During the day it runs hourly. In the evening it's every 30 minutes on the hour & half-hour. It stops at SSR, West Side and Marketplace. If there's no demand, they sometimes skip SSR and/or West Side. You can only make the return trip from Marketplace (same place where you get the POR boat).

They have a newer boat than the original pontoon boat and it holds more people. Still not giant but I'm guessing it can take about 25-30 passengers.
