Can you still do in-park quests with hard ticket events?

Hi there. My wife and I are going to WDW in August (I KNOW, what were we thinking?) and will be attending one of the Pirate and Princess parties.

I know that folks used to be able to turn in quest answers using their entrance tickets for hard-ticket events (like Not So Scary Halloween and Very Merry Christmas Party), if they showed up to the park during the last hour of "regular park hours" while VMK Central was still open.

Is it still possible to do this? I'd love to be able to pick up an extra set of VMK goodies.

Yes we used Not so scary last year for a set of quest prizes.

It depends on who's working. I've found if you bring them in early on a non-party day, it's easier to redeem them. At the last P&P party we attended, we were turning in the animation quest as it was new. The CM working made sure to tell us we couldn't use our party tickets and only redeemed on our APs.

We were not allowed to use our Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets last December at WDW. We tried different CM's and none would allow us to use them. We also asked at Town Hall and were told it was because it was a ticket for non-regular park hours. Can't hurt to try, though! We have had different info from different CM's at VMK Central.

We tried last year at Christmas and Halloween parties. Different CMs, same reply: NO!

Hi,

We did our this past Thanksgiving. We had tickets to MVMCP. We turned them in several days before the date of the party and had no problem and got quest with them. This was at WDW.

we turned ours in for MNSSHP in oct. had a little issue but took care of that .went about 6:40 , they were starting to close the folding doors( vmk closes at 7pm) and nicely had a cm standing at what remained open of door
he said vmk central was closing .... hubby nicely said its not 7pm yet.
and proceeded to show him mnsshp tickets and said we want to get our quest
cm said they could not be used.....hubby said what are you talking about I spend $120.00 plus on park entry tickets ( park entry for party but park entry) and your going to tell me that you will not honor for pieces of cardboard paper? It does not specify what type of tickets, just valid park entry tickets ,and vmk central is Not closed yet , uh ...CM let him through

As a cast member we are told to tell everyone that you can not use your ticket for extra things such as VMK. Now if the cast member is very nice they may let you!

then special event Park entry ticket should say so..

.understand you dont make the rules just follow them , ( so nothing personal)

BUT park entry ticket is park entryticket ....doesnt matter for what regular day or special event . . and they still cost a family a bundle , and those little cardboard pieces of paper cost very little in comparison and keep the Disney Guests happy!
