hat pins? You know like the ones your grandma used to wear? I have a really cute hat I want to wear to Disney, but I have to secure it to my hair or it will blow away. Right now I use a toothpick, which works pretty well, but it's ugly. Does anyone have any ideas how I can make one? I do have a couple of old ones that belonged to my grandma, but they are really long and sharp and I don't think I'd get them by security.

you could try sewing a couple of hair combs (You know those slightly curved kind of combs with the longer teeth?) on the sides of the hat - they wouldn't be visible & should hold your hat snug.



or sew an elastic for under the chin wear or pretty ribbons to tie in a bow under your chin (just kidding)
