Can you stand another stroller question?

DSs are 1 and 5. DS 5 doesn't use a stroller normally, just for Disney and airports...things like that. Can't stand using the double stroller (Maclaren Twin Rally), it is so hard to go through small spaces. Love our Maclaren Quest that either DS 1 or DS 5 could use.

Last couple of trips we just brought the single (Quest) because DS 1 was small enough to put in the baby bjorn. But he's too big now for an infant carrier.

I'm thinking of trying to sell the double on craigslist. So should I get a 2nd Quest for DS 1? DS 5's Quest is showing some wear and tear anyway....

Or should we just bring the 1 Quest and rent as needed for DS 5? Just makes it difficult at the airport, walking to the park, Downtown Disney, etc. But do we really want to be bringing 2 strollers on the Disney buses (next few trips staying at SSR, VWL, BC)

Thanks for any tips!

I'd sell the double and either rent or buy another single. That way DS 5 and DS1 can split up if need be!

What about using the Quest for your 5 yr old and then getting a cheap umbrella for the 1 yr old?

We just bought a sit and stand stroller for our boys who will be 1.5 and 4.5 when we go to WDW in September. We got the Joovy Caboose and it actually folds down to be slightly smaller than our Graco travel system stroller. The older child can can either sit on the jump seat or stand on the platform.

What about a different carrier for the 1 year old? I keep reading how the ergo carriers can comfortably carry a 3 year old. I wasn't every crazy about my Bjorn, but I am tempted to buy the ergo for DD2 because she just likes to be carried. (I wish that I had bought it when DD was 1 and I was checking out carriers!)

If you decide against that, I would go with the Quest and a rental or the Quest and a Volo for your 5 year old.

Enjoy!

I have an ergo carrier! I just can't get DS comfy in it. So that was a waste :confused3

We're still on the fence...but will probably get a 2nd stroller. Don't want to pay $10 per day on a rental, we have 2 trips this year!

Hi there - We are going in Dec and DD will be 5, DS 15 months. I own a twin jogger (no way) and a Graco Metrolite.

I decided to retire the Metrolite and sell on Craig's List. I bought a Mac Triumph for the trip and to use as my new everyday stroller. I planned on buying a less expensive umbrella stroller and then selling after the trip. Fortunately, I was able to snag a $25 Inglesia Trip off the Toysrus.com clearance a couple weeks ago. It came yesterday and it seems like a pretty nice stroller (kind of a triumph knock off).

I'd check Ebay or other clearance sales before your trip. You can buy another stroller for the cost of renting, and then sell later. Like you (or someone) said, it's nice to have two so you can split up with the kids, and have a stroller for walks to the buses, across the park, etc.

We love our Maclaren Volo. It would be perfect for your DD5. :thumbsup2
