we have ADR's for LeCellier @ 7:40pm ... that was the ONLY time I was able to get for that night ... I really wanted to go to LeCellier but I'm good if we don't since we are going to Narccosses the next night and i'm not sure if we can eat steak 2 night in a row ...

ANYWAY here is my question ... out ADR is at 7:40pm what would happen if we showed up at 6pm ?? 7pm ??? would we be able to get a table OR would they tell us to come back ??:confused3 I know that it would not be fair to the people that are booked at that time BUT do they really hold people to their reservations OR is their a window that they work with??

Would we be able to get in IF we showed up when it opened ?? and at what time would that be?

ONLY 29 Days to Go :scared1: :santa: :scared1:

you would be treated as a walk in.....

it depends on the place....at Boma, we showed up 30 mins early...they turned us away and said come back in 30 mins.

Others they take your name and put you in line.

Ther have also been times where we showed up 30-60 minutes early for an ADR and were seated immediately.

But no guarantees, of course...as Got Quattro said, it will all depend on the time and the restaurant.

You can show up early and it will all depend on how busy the restaurant is at that particular time. With the times you are mentioning, I highly doubt there will be tables readily available for you. So you would be a walk-up. You would have to wait until there was a table available for your party size that didn't have an ADR person waiting for it.

We had a 3:30 lunch reservation at 50s Prime Time and were down with MGM by 2:00. We were tired and hot and hungry so we checked in very early. We were not seated until close to 3:00.

We have never been able to get in early, a few times we arrived 30min early, but no luck.

We've gone to places as much as an hour early and gotten in with just a few minute wait. It's only 2 of us though. Not sure about a larger group if this is possible.

We have tried many times to arrive early at various restaurants and have had very little luck getting seated before our ADR. And specifically speaking of Le Cellier, most times we have been seated late with our ADR's--the later you eat, the further behind they seem to get.

However, IMHO, the steaks at Le Cellier are much better than the steaks at Narcoosies. If I was wanting steak, I'd regret skipping Le Cellier.

Hmm..

I am giving Le Celleir ONE LAST chance this December. If the steak is as bad as last December they are OUT of the rotation. I think the resturant is a victim of it's own success and the food is not living up to the hype.

Personally the best steak I have had was actually at Jiko! (or off property LOL!)

I agree. I think JIKO and Yachtsman have better steaks than Le Cellier. But I still think Le Cellier steaks are better than Narcoosies steaks.

I'm getting old and memory is going but I think JIKO may be the best steak I've ever had.

I've not been to JIKO, but I prefer the steaks at Artist Point over Le Cellier.

The earliest we arrived for an ADR was an hour at Chef de France. I had forgotten what time my ADR was and in a panic got our family there early. We finally found it listed for 6:00, but they had no problem seating us at 5:00.

We arrived 30 minutes early for 50's Prime Time and were seated 15 minutes later.

So yes, it all depends upon the restaurant and how busy they happen to be.

We arrive early to most of our ADR's and have never had a problem getting in early.

I've done that a couple of times. I've also inadvertently made multiple ADRs for a meal, and then canceled the wrong one. Once, I canceled the 5:30 and kept the 7:00 dinner at Seven Dragons -- but I thought I had canceled the 7:00. We arrived almost 2 hours early, but we didn't have to wait long. I tried to find out if we were treated as a walk-in or if they were just being nice -- but they were very busy and never told me.

It's a real toss up. As others have posted, some times I have been told to return at the ADR time and no sooner. Sometimes they could get us in.
Le Cellier is a tough one anyway. So hard to say.

My ADR's are usually not that late but.....

I usually show up at least 30 min before and they just check me in
and give me a pager.

How about Chef Mickey's for dinner, party of 3? I have ADR's for 5:20, but just received information about AAA storytelling at MK. I called and they can get me in at 6:30. This is too close to my dinner. I scheduled it, but CM would have to take us early for us to enjoy dinner, characters, and then make the storytelling at MK. What do you think?

So if you arrive a couple of hours early and they happen to have a table available, would the later ADR be automatically cancelled?
