Can you share meals on MYW Dining?

From what I understand, my 10-year-old DD would be charged an adult price for her MYW dining, correct? She is not a huge eater, and I am trying to determine if this package would be a good value for us.

Since she is a light eater, would it be possible for DD and me to share either counter service or (more likely) sit-down meals? This would allow us to cash in some of our credits to dine at a signature restaurant or two, without having to pay out of pocket for some meals.

Thanks for your help!

I have never had any problem with meal sharing at any WDW restaurant. I have even seen adults order from the children's menu.

The only restriction is at any meal which has an all you can eat feature everyone must order food and adults cannot pay the child price.

Alert...newbie question!

We are planning several trips in the coming months and are weighing all our tickets options. I am aware of the Disney Dining Experience card available to AP/PAP holders, but I have seen mention of the MYW dining card. What is that all about and what are your thoughts?

The MYW dining is an add-on to a MYW room package. It's not a separate card, they put it on your room key. It's only good for the length of your stay.

I'm sure you can share. If so, then you can have 3 meals a day, with your extra credits. Or, as you say, use them for signature meals.

I know according to the Disney brochure link (someone posted on this board) it says that for children under 3 (which you do not buy the dining package for) can share off of the adult's plate. But that's all it said about sharing in the brochure... I still don't think it would be a problem to share with DD, I can't imagine a server telling you not to. I think you will be fine.

Thanks, everyone. The main reason I am concerned that MYW Dining will NOT save us money is because of DD's age (darnit, just barely 10), and the fact that is she is not a big eater.
