Can you see the parade from Carnation Cafe or Plaza Inn?

Birnbaums says that you can catch glimpses of the parade from Carnation Cafe. Has anyone tried this? I have seen the parade but in June we will be bringing a friend who has not but probably won't want to take time out from rides to see it. I thought we might just try for a late lunch at Carnation Cafe or Plaza Inn and see bits of it from there.

Bits & pieces is a good description. The people are lined up along Main Street to see the parade, and Carnation Cafe sits back a bit in an alley. So I can see that a few tables near the sidewalk will see parts of the parade, but it's not a good view, in my opinion.

Also, Plaza Inn now has bushes around the perimeter, which gives it a more private setting, but would also block the view from seeing the parades going by.

I asked Chad at disney dining the same question ans he said so many people stand in front that your view would be blocked, and to not bother booking a reservation to do so.

We saw bits and pieces of the Parade pretty well from...is it called Coke Corner? We stopped there for hot dogs on our last day, as we were way late for lunch. We were lucky enough to get a table on the patio, and it was very close to the street side of the patio. I think we got it because it was the only one in the sun at the time.

But, I don't know if it would be worth it, trying to get a table there, just for that purpose.
