Can you see rocket launches from WDW?

Wasn't sure where to ask this.

We're going to be in WDW when they have a launch scheduled at Cape Canaveral. Not going to go over that way. No car and no time. Wondering if it's something you can see from the resort area.

We saw the smoke clouds from the 2011 launch of Discovery, from Epcot. But just the smoke!

Yes you can. We are in Celebration and can see them from here.

You can see the smoke trail from the Gulf Coast of Florida...Disney should be about the same...

Yes you can!
We stayed at Pop century and have video of one of the space shuttle launches. Coolest thing about it is another guest who works at the Houston NASA facility was standing there with us and we have the neatest commentary from him.

He said that he thought about going over to watch it with the kids, but decided it wasnt worth losing a Disney day if they cancel it.
