Can you ride the boats at Disney Springs to resorts if you are not staying onsite?

Wondering if we are allowed to ride the boats to say POR to have a drink, etc? Do you need to show a resort key or can anyone ride them?

In the past I do not believe we ever had to show anything just got on the boat not sure if that has changed.

Yes, you can ride the boats. No one is asked to show a resort key. Have fun. POR is lovely.
