Stupid question maybe... but I'm a netflix girl myself, and we can't stream movies on the road...

We are going to be driving TX to SC... thought it would be nice to have some movies to play on the laptop along the way. Can I rent a movie in say, TX and return it in LA? and so on and so forth...

Considering iTunes movies too... is there a pro/con to either in the case of a road trip? Different states each day...

You sure can. We rented and returned in WI - KY - FL! Never had any problems.

Have fun!

redbox is perfect for a road trip - you can return a movie to any redbox in the US. they are pretty much everywhere now.

It says right on the box that they movies can be returned to any Red Box location. I think it is a great idea for a road trip and a heck of a lot less expensive then buying movies.

If you're doing a roadtrip, Redbox works even better. You can find a Redbox at a lot of 7-11s, McDonalds, Walmarts, Walgreens, Krogers, etc so anytime you stop for gas, you could find a nearby box and return and check out another movie.

We just did RedBox on a roadtrip for the first time. It worked fine, except that we couldn't get their website to work on any of our phones (no iphones, but several other versions) to find the nearest Redbox for returning a movie. Website search button wouldn't click, ever on the whole trip. We had to several times drive around checking places to see if they had a Redbox and it got a little frustrating. Not sure if this is a common problem or not, but if we had it to do over again, we'd look up our return locations and print them out before we left. We enjoyed the movies and it's very cheap, so overall I'd say it worked!

I have an ap on my iPhone that uses your current location to find the nearest Redbox. You can even reserve a movie at a certain location. Love it! :goodvibes

My cousin did a similar thing last year on a road trip from Nevada to Oklahoma. He looked up all the Redbox locations along where he would be driving and made a list out of where to stop.
