Can you rent a car-after you are at the resort?

You have many options when on property, from the Car Care Center (National if I recall) to Hertz and others at some of the offsite properties. Most of the locations at the hotels will pick up a customer and return them to either their hotel or another location at the end of the rental.

Last summer I booked us a car from National at the Car Care Center on site via Costco. I called & arranged for a pickup time & the shuttle came & picked us up from BCV. The car was waiting for us when we got there & our driver whisked us into a special line at the counter with no wait. It was SEAMLESS!! Easy peasy!!

I've seen an Enterprise van/mini bus around WDW, so I think you can.

Alamo has 2 locations on Disney property.

Some people have used the Car Care Center. We use the location at Disney's Dolphin. We plan it on a day that we are either at Epcot or H.S to pick up/drop off. Dropping off they have valet so you can just leave it with the valet, tell them you're dropping off the rental and either jump on a bus to a theme park or take the boat/walk to Epcot or h.S.

That is what we did. It was very easy to pick up there (we were staying at BWV). We then took it back (we were at VWL), took the boat to Epcot, spent some time there, and took the bus back to VWL.

DH was not with us and I preferred not to drive to and from MCO, so this worked out really great.
