Can you recommend restaurants that have Vegetarian dishes?

Last year the California Grill made me up a wonderful Vegetarian dinner. However, when we went to The Living Seas restaurant they gave me pasta with green beans! It was the worst meal I ever had. So does anyone know any other places that will accomodate vegetarians. Thanks.

We ate at LeCellier in EPCOT with my sister who is a vegetarian. She called in advance to let them know. The chef came to our table to discuss different options with her upon our arrival. She had a great meal. They were wonderful there. Especially considering that steak is their specialty!

She carries a book about dining at Disney for the vegetarian. The book suggested she call them. I don't know the exact name but we gave it to her for Christmas two years ago.

She also loves Spoodles on the Boardwalk.

I'll second the vote for calling ahead. Any of the nicer sitdowns (including Coral Reef, I'm sure) can accommodate special requests - be it vegetarian, gluten free, whatever - if you give them a day or two notice. In fact, I'd bet that if you called ahead at Cali Grill, you would get something even more amazing!

Boma buffet at Animal Kingdom lodge had many many delicious vegetable side dishes, soups and salads. Even several kinds of humous and delicous breads. When I was there in January I remember thinking this would be a great place to visit with my vegetarian friend Roxie.

But it also might matter on what type of vegetarian diet you follow. Vegan? or just no meat/fish? Some of the vegetable items might have dairy. But everything is clearly labeled, and the chefs are right there ready to answer questions.

As long as you don't mind seeing the meat being served (some vegetarians do!)

I highly recommend Boma for anyone.

It's certainly not sit down but I really liked the vegetable lo mein at the ABC Commissary at MGM when I had it a few years back.

I'm a big fan of the Boardwalk for vegetarian food...

The ESPN club has a great grilled portobello mushroom sandwich -- with chive and garlic cream cheese and roasted red peppers.

Spoodles always has a couple of good vegetarian selections, and Flying Fish always has one on the menu.

Wolfgang Puck has great vegetable pizzas and pastas, and all kinds of stuff. Try their squash soup, it's great!

Some highlights and lowlights from my vegetarian experience this past December:

Boma for dinner....awesome food. Would love to relive this experience !!....skip the Zebra Domes tho...they do contain gelatin.

Columbia Harbor House (MK)....Coral Reef sandwich was excellent...the Vegetarian Chili in a Bread Bowl....was all bread...I will skip it next time.

Whispering Canyon Cafe (WL)....Uncle Al's Vegetarian Pasta....very good...ask for a side of blue cheese (if so inclined)...it added to the dish significantly. Also...the salad that is served with an apple vinegrette (sp?)....was awesome!!

A second to the Veggie Lo Mein at the ABC Commissary (MGM)...very tasty.

The vegetarian offerings at the Tangerine Cafe were okay....a bit too much parsley for me...but other than that...I would probably order it again.

I wish I could remember the vegetarian plate at AK....(it was served with grapes)....not sure if I just can't remember...or if I'm repressing it....just didn't like it at all....the grapes were good tho.

The Stir-Fry Vegetable plate at Teppanyaki was good...did not like the Tofu side dish that is served with scallions tho....I would not go out of my way to eat here again.

Without question....my favorite meal was the Vegetarian Stuffed Pepper served at 50's PTC.....absolutely incredible !!!

Definitely call the restaurant ahead of time if you are at all uncertain.
