Hi!

We'd like to fly in a day before our cruise and I wanted to get some suggestions for some decent hotels that have free shuttle service to Port Canaveral. I've seen a lot of people write about The Radisson. Please share any info. on The Radisson or other hotels located near Port Canaveral.

Thanks!

Just curious......

How do you plan on getting to the Radisson or other hotel in the Port area? They do not have shuttles from the airport.

We're going to rent a car. I've read that people have dropped off their rental cars at or near their hotels, taken a shuttle to the port, taken a shuttle back to pick up a rental car again for the ride back to the airport.

The Avis pick up / drop off is located in the Radisson so that makes a good reason to stay there with the least amount of hassle if you are using a rental car. Both Avis and the Radisson have complimentary shuttles that will take you over and drop you off at the port.

Since you are planning on renting a car, Avis and The Radisson are the only way to go. The Avis/Radisson combination is very convenient and hard to beat. Both offer shuttles to the Port.

Have a great cruise!

More info if you're interested in Radisson @Port :)
Their direct # 321- 784-0000
Main reservations #800-333-3333

Earlier in the year they were running a 'FALL' promo:
If it still applies: regular rooms @$59 and suites @$99

A more recent special is a 'STE' promo:
regular rooms $79 and suites @$99

Thank you 4nana, IrishCowboy, & prymsu!

I booked a room at the Radisson and the best price they could give me was $99.00 for a standard room. They have a very flexible cancellation policy. If a better deal is offered next year, it won't be any problem to cancel my first reservation to get the lesser rate.

Next call ... AVIS!!!

You might try booking your Radisson ressie over the internet...I just re-booked our room for next June and saved alot of $$ from some info here on the boards. I originally booked directly with the hotel for a 1 BR Kings Suite (2 king beds) for $129/night. I got the EXACT same room over the internet for only $99!!! I used the "visit florida STE" rate.. You may want to look around their web page for better rates!

Thank you Jobro2!!!

The only rate I saw on the internet was for $109.00, but I'll try using that code you gave me. I was going to try and see if Avis gave discounts for AAA members, but if you have another code I can use, I'll give that a try and see which one is the better rate.

Thanks so much!!! :D

When you go into the Radisson site, click on "view all rates" and scroll down and see if you see the "visit Florida STE" rate..that is where I found it, but you need to look through all the rates. Here are 2 Avis codes I have, you can play around and see where you get the best deal! When are you cruising??

Hey Jodi!

You are a real sweetie-pie! Thank you for going out of your way to help me out!!! We'll be cruising in July.

I'll check that website out one more time and give Avis a call to see what kind of deal I can get w/them.

Thanks again!

There are other options besides the Radisson. The Courtyard by Marriott and the Hampton Inn also offer packages with parking and transportation. And there are other good places to stay.

I have a summary of lodging options at my web site...

we just returned from the 9/21 Magic eastern trip...we stayed at the radisson the nite before in the Kings Suite for $99/night...the suite was fabulous...two rooms..1st room is very large with a fold out couch, large TV, and complete kitchen w/table n 4 chairs...2nd rm was even better....two king sz beds, TV, large marble jacuzzi, + shower and bathroom...I've stayed in $300+ per nite rooms that couldn't compare....had very efficient shuttle service and an excellent meal at their restaurant....highly recommended...enjoyed it so much that we stayed there again the evening we got off the magic...
