Can you recommend a Japanese hibachi style restaurant?

DD loves the Japanese restaurants where they cook right in front of you. Watch out for flying food--brother try to catch broccoli in their mouth-good way to get then to eat veggies. Anyway, I know there is one in EPCOT, and I have already made ADR's . However, we may not want to use a park day to go to Tepanido(sp?) in EPCOT. Has anyone had any experiences with this type of restaurant NOT on Disney property, that they would recommend?

Teppan Edo is the one on property, but if you want to go off property there are many listed in the Orlando area yellow pages. I would try to find one with good local reviews though. If locals like it you can bet it is worth your money.

There's a Kobe Steakhouse in one of the large shopping centers just outside of WDW. There's also a Benihana inside the Hilton at Downtown Disney.

Both are chain restaurants. I've never been to the WDW locations, but I've been to other Kobe and Benihana locations and enjoyed both. There are probably others on the Dis that can make a reccomendation between the two.

The Benihana in the Hilton in Downtown Disney is excellant. I have eaten at a few of the Kobe Steak Houses. They are the first (and only) hibachi style restaurants that include fried potatoes as part of the meal.

We liked the Kobe Steakhouse near the Hyatt Grand Cypress - not sure of the directions - and in when we were in Japan, they always cooked potatoes for us with our Teppanyaki!

We liked Kobe too. We went to the one by Goodlings. Sunday thru thurs (5-6pm) they have an early bird special menu. Quite reasonable and we prefer an earlier dinner:
